I like the idea of adding USFL teams as opposed to duplicate teams, which could cause a statistical nightmare. If the situation re-surfaces with our league I will surely recommend. Turning people away is not something that should be considered. Great Topic G. Oh, expect your phone to ring soon.

For all those whose eyebrows raised in curiousity upon reading that part, CLMDesigns Chris Markham is your USFL man. Rosters, painted teams (NICE!), USFL decals, all that you need to start a USFLMF franchise. Who will be the first to roll 55 men deep with the NJ Generals led by Herschel Walker?

Which brings me to another ....

..............thought, .....when I look at leagues, many times I see leagues that have more emphasis on the "team" than the actual person who uses the team.

Sometimes guys post score like: raiders 25 chargers 17, ............from their league, which means nothing to me, ...........and I don't have time to find their web site and look up whom is playing whom, ......personally I like to see who the people are that are playing the teams.......but that is just me....:)

As far as duplicate teams, .............I understand the stats problems, but it may not be much of a problem, if you had "era" teams, ............like the two top running backs in the league are from packer teams, ......... (60's)Paul Hornung, and (09)Ryan grant........ but I think we are in agreement we don't want to turn folks away because slots are full....

See BEFL Playoffs post ......

mavbe we should just address the team as "k-lo Titans" or "norbet Chiefs" etc.

NEW CASTLE HiTMEN 02-11-2009 11:23 AM

Do what the NHFL does and create your own team. Maybe as a member of the MFCA we should be allowed to franchise a team. No NFL teams but one of our own.

sweetka 02-11-2009 12:10 PM

Yep!

I thought about the era teams too before making my post. Another viable option. It's something about our guys though not liking duplicates and I understand. Where's he hate me?

The coach thing is kinda crazy because you study a league and see the Cards win the Superbowl then the Lions and eventually find out it's the same guy. I think we do a pretty good job at this with our sites and all but like you said, who's going there?

Thanks!

Coach Rip 02-11-2009 12:22 PM

And, .......

.....I'm not lobbying for one specific way, .............I'm just ******** happy that we can talk about this because the reality is, this MAY be a situation that some leagues wil have to deal with very soon! thmbsp$

I think it's going to be interesting to see how those leagues will adapt....

RAIDERMAN 02-11-2009 02:24 PM

Harrisburg

Perhaps you should quit typing and get your sons NHFL team done being your time is so limited!! :rtfl:

If you use Leaguelineup.com all you have to do is click on the team name and the coaches name shows up. Harrisburg will NEVER have the same team in the League in the same year. We MIGHT allow different teams of various pro leagues over the years but that is as far as I'll go. I like the structured style of running the League. Seeing the scores and the matchups of the games that are actually played. THat's just me though.

GUTTMANN 02-11-2009 02:26 PM

Yeah, on the NHFL. I'll be there on the 25th, anyone not ready? FORFEIT!

LOL LOL:rtfl: :rtfl:
