Just off the top of my head, and some of the positions aren't specific:
QB - Bradshaw RB - Harris RB - Bettis (tough to leave my boy Bleier off) TE - Nickel (played in the '50s, considered the best at the position in club history.) WR - Stallworth WR - Ward (I'd take him over Swann, but you couldn't go wrong either way) OL - Webster, Kolb, Dawson, Faneca, Ilkin DL - J. Greene, White, Greenwood, Stautner (Hampton is tough to leave off here, as is Holmes) LB - Lambert, Ham, Lloyd (I mean, this doesn't even do it justice. K. Greene, Russell, Harrison, etc.) DB - Polamalu, Shell, Blount, Woodson (you ain't passing against this group, and this doesn't even include Wagner, Lake, or Butler!) Special Teams/Reserve Offense-Defense: Bill Dudley. Other franchises may have more offensively - but I don't think there's anything that compares to this group defensively, especially considering the quality of players I couldn't even include. All-Time? Browns or Bears, then Steelers, Cowboys or Vikings.

Browns???
Need more convincing please.
Jim Brown Marion Motley |
there is no way to give a "correct " answer.
my opinion is any team who won a few championships AND made it to modern time playoffs/superbowls..... is a factor. neat thread. |
RAIDERS !!!!!!
Owner - Al Davis * Coach John Madden * Qb's Plunkett - 2 super bowl wins = only 2 time super bowl champ qb not in the hall of fame Stabler - 1 super bowl win = should be in the Hall of Fame Lamonica - the mad bomber Blanda - * RB's Allen - * Jackson Van Eeghan TE's Casper - * Christensen WR's Biletnikoff -* T. Brown = should be in the Hall of Fame Branch = should be in the Hall of Fame OL Upshaw -* Brown - * Shell - * Otto -* DL Long - * Davidson - Matuszak - Townsend Sistrunk LB'S Hendricks - * Millen - Martin - 3 int's in a Super Bowl DB's W. Brown - * Haynes - * Hayes - Should be in the Hall of Fame Tatum - Atkinson - Kickers Guy - best punter ever ! Blanda - Mr. clutch * = hall of fame members I am biased and maybe my feelings are slanted . I feel this is the best all - time team ever. NFL channel just did a all time top ten Raiders . They chose 11 and did not include coaches or owners. |
"KC CHIEFS"
Records dont matter, "KC" will always be the best!:D now all we need is the records to go with that!mgngcrz

For a team that hasn't been to the Super Bowl in 40 years, KC has had its share of great players, no doubt.
Vikings fit that kind of bill, too. Ed wnnrcgr shkthbx: |

Browns - more convincing?
QB - Otto Graham RB - Jim Brown, Leroy Kelly, Marion Motley, Greg Pruitt, Kevin Mack WR - Paul Warfield, Dante Lavelli, Gary Collins, Ray Renfro TE - Ozzie Newsome OL - Joe Delamielleure, Frank Gatski, Lou Groza, Mike McCormack, Gene Hickerson, Doug Dieken S - Hanford Dixon, Frank Minnifield, Thom Darden, Waren Lahr, Eric Turner LB - Clay Mathews, Chip Banks, Mike Johnson, Walt Michaels, Pepper Johnson DL - Bill Willis, Len Ford, Bill Glass, Bob Gain, Michael Dean Perry |
I'm going to be biased.:D
QB: Fran Tarkenton, Randle Cunningham, and Brett Favre:rllngs: RB: Chuck Foreman, Adrian Peterson, Robert Smith WR: Cris Carter, Randy Moss, Ahmad Rashad, and Anthony Carter TE: Stu Voigt, Steve Jordan OL: Matt Birk, Steve Huchinson, Randle Mcdaniel, Mick Tinglehoff, Ron Yary, Korey Stringer. DL: Alan Page, Carl Eller, John Randle, Jim Marshall, Jared Allen, Kevin Williams, Pat Williams LB: The area where there are short it, no super star linebackers... Jeff Siemen, Matt Blair, Chad Greenway (again, went to Iowa=bias:D ) CB: Short again... can't name any off the top of my head. S: Paul Krause, Darren Sharper. They only have like 7 HOF's though, but lots of the 70's players are earning spots in the hall of fame. Taylor |
