THE COVER 2

THE COVER 2

1)Safeties on hash marks sprint to the outside to pick up both wrs

2)Middle line backer drops into the deep middle . Outside linebackers in dark circles sitting in a zone waiting to pick up slot receiver and tight end.

3)both corners coming on a fast blitz so you have no time if playing time stoppages.

***Once a defense figures out how they want to cover the field, putting down that stick is not so easy. Remember, when the defenders are turned, they are coming from every direction.

CURL ROUTE

PASS SIM COACHES

Here is a curl route that can be performed via stops. You also can find a base that naturally curls to that point in 1 stop, then angle that base to curl somewhere else. (shaking and baking). Those wes welker routes.

first situation

On the first diagram, I should play in 3 options :

first, simply running the ball. Depands of the defense athletes skills. Reading the way they run, I would see if I can make it or not. Depanding also of the down and gaming situation. But Seeing the diagram, I'd try to push with TE and put my HB behind him.

2nd, inner field passing (slot passing?). Left Wr is a looper. The play will be focusing on him, for short yardage gain. The TE is the "bet option". If he's strong enough, and "launching" him from a few yards behind the LOS (on the diagram there is 8men on the LOS :D ) I bet on the fact he will go in the right center field. The HB is angled to add a little luck factor on his back.

I don't believe I'd play that options, or in very particular situations. Once again, all depands of the way defense moves.

3rd, is probably the thing I'd try if I don't go on running play.

Qb play in motion to the left. The 2 left WRs going straight route. the two receivers are elligible, but if everything goes right, I'll use the center left receiver as a blocker.

The TE and Wr are angled to center field, to help spraying the defense so thy will not focus only on the left receivers. It stills an option, with QB play in motion to the left, with a stick angled to the right sideline, it can make a tought pass, but "can be". It 's also an option to stop the clock in that case.

All that moves are not played with stoppages. "Classic" passing simulation already 's got one stoppage, wich is enough for me. In my opinion, formation plassing is the huddle time, then using a classic way to play passing sticks, the "ryhtm" of the game is really realistic.

running straight

In that case, nothing too fancy, I'll try to "launch" my receivers and TE on straight courses. QB moving to left field, and OL pushing to front left, to release pressure.

Left receivers for medium range passing, and possible big yardage gain.

Right receivers for long passing and sticks angled to the sideline, to stop the clock or try a sideline run after the pass completion.
