thanks for the heads up

gonna order some sticks today, as soon as i get home.

how about using those ITZ's and do a moving pocket? then launch that felt downfield into a flooded area on the right side. One of those wr's has got to be close.

Our league uses both

In the Harrisburg BuzzBall League, and in BuzzFest we use both. As you are finding out it makes the game more exciting, and give the "D" more to think about.

If you play with both, one will eventually see the advantage of being proficient with the TTQB.

Let me know how you like 'em. Also, still trying to figure out the ITZ bases (what shells to use them with, which positions are they best suited for, etc.). I'll keep you posted.

With TTQB passing, the bigger reciever with the ability to get past the defense is the key, and yet with the sticks you can have pure speed guys that can simply out run defenders to the ball. The sticks do allow the defense a play on the ball, but like you say its at the cost of the speed of play. I personally think the sticks a great tool to getting a rookie coach interested, and so I am in favor of allowing limited stick rules for rookies. For example, when I play sticks with my brother in law, he can never adjust a reciever to run up the field, only out routes or comeback routes. If the reciever is heading downfield then obviously the stick can be placed straight in front of his current running direction. Maybe its just me, but the more I use the TTQB the more I like it, especially with the strict clock rules as used by several leagues including the DFW. So, if you practice with the TTQB (even in solitaire) make sure to have a 20 second timer!
Joe

I gotta get one of those timers that they use in the GLEFL (where can I get one). I want to include that as well. I know it will make things really interesting....as if I didn't have enough elements in this game to keep track of .:)

Question Coach Rip, do you use the sticks from the QB or the line of scrimmage?

Coach Rip 03-11-2008 04:54 PM

Measure from

WE measure from the center of the
QB's helmet to the center of the receiver's helmet.

Thanks!

That's what I thought...and how I've been doing it.

passing info

I like using the NHFL ATTACK passing system. I'm not in a league yet cause of distance/gas prices but I am gonna try to get in NHFL next season. I've also been told about couple tournaments near here I may try so I know I need to try all passing rules.
