...that adds to the excitement of the game though I'm not sure how successful the HB pass would be in most leagues. The pressure from the blitzers from the outside is so great that it would be difficult to get the pass off. I'm for allowing it once per half though.

I think the one play per half on this sort of gadget play is a cool option.To keep it cool,maybe you treat it like some leagues do with going for it on fourth down with the trailing team by X amount of points getting the option to try or maybe both teams in the final two minutes of the half.Just a suggestion though.

I agree with both Crandog and Coach K-Lo on how to handle the HB option. The offensive coach must call HB option BEFORE the play. When the board is cut off and the coach sees no one open then the board is turned back on and the running play continues. The key is 1) NO pivots are made on either side if the offensive coach chooses to run and 2) You can NOT run the play again during the game. Just my .02 cents worth.
