#2 doesn't look good for the offense if you stay running left....the numbers are not in your favor. If you could pivot the runner to get behind the right taclke and right guard, that looks very good, but the defensive audible would probably nullify that.

answer to the play calls Pic #1
Well, only one coach picked up the simple math of this alignment.
offense has the strong side WR in a 1-on-1 matchup without safety help. VERY BAD DEFENSE......... L.Fitzgerald blow pass the corner for a 55 yd TD pass....too easy..... |
play #2 results
the call on this on was to run to the outside, but too many defenders were there. the key block was by the FB on the OLB which took both him and the SS coming up (#21). Earl Campbell planted and cut up inside and got smashed..........

Been a long time...
... since I played football (H.S.) and don't remember all of the terminalogy.
What detrmines strong and weak sides of a formation? is it having more offensive players on one side of the center as opposed to the other, or the tight end? Or is it determined by the allignment of the defenders? A refresher please.... P.S. I would have been tempted to run on Play #1 also..... Great post!!! |

..... that means more posts are needed to give some more explanations of some things..... .... as soon as I can get my "pointer" to work, I will add some directional patterns to some of the pictures to help those who may need it. k-lothmbsp$ thmbsp$ |
You know K Lo.....I have some corners who I can leave on an island like that all day....it just depends on the opponent. So, what looks like a slam dunk isn't always a slam dunk. One on one match-ups aren't always bad.......risky, of course, but sometimes you take a risk in one place to give yourself advantage elsewhere....do you remember what happened on the right side of that #1 offensive set during the action? Did the running back also shake free?

Our league uses a "pass play timer" that runs the board for 3 seconds. THAT'S IT... your WR/TE/RB better be open or your play is dead. thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ ftbll$ ftbll$ ftbll$ hlmt$ hlmt$ hlmt$ On the backside of the play, I did not follow it to the end because I was watching the TD play. |

I'm not ripping your rules, I just wanted to delve into the thinking behind that one, Lo! thmbsp$ |
I have a question about the 3 seconds also.
Can you shut the board off before the 3 seconds expire ? |
