Hi,
I made some progress on the helmets, then searching for pics on internet to make the logos, I noticed that sometimes the steelers athletes 's got black helmets whitout any logo on it....Why ? Because since I'm very lazy now (and especially I don't have so much spare time), if I can make let the helmets like on the pic...it will be OK for me :rtfl: |

Hi,
just a couple of pics before the next update. The helmets received 2 coats of diluted acrylic gloss medium. (first coat not too diluted, second coat about 50/50 water-medium). |

Concerning the game, I didn't try that figs on bases, but since I did pretty the same on the Niners, it gave me strong linemen (I putted a video here somewhere), and reliable runners thmbsp$ |
Very Nice

Hi,
This afternoon I went fishing, but I took some time to make some progress on the figs too ;) The figures are almost complete. I just need to make the shoulders numbers, now. You can notice the new technic I used on the gloves. It gives (in my opinion) a nice real hand effect. The technic is quite simple : just paint the glove in black, then with a thin brush paint the fingers and glove back in the color of your choice. here's the last pics for today, I'll finish the figs during next week thmbsp$ dimitri |
Pants shade.
What colors did you use on the pants or going to shade with?Great work--STT
|
Hi,
I used some vallejo game "sunburst yellow" (not sure of the name..."sun-something" for sure) for the main color, and I shaded it with some Citadel "ogryn flesh" wash. thmbsp$ Quite simple paint job on that team. |
wow! those steelers are coming together! really amazing.
Cant wait to see them square off against the Niners! |
Reaper paints!
They have a yellow triad that might work.FG,alot of guys that paint minis love Reaper paints. You should try them.they have a website and you can get them off ebay also. Many choose them over vallejo,andrea,ect..STT

THanks for the advice !
I choosed Vallejo Game range because they are especially cheap, and have a good quality/prive value in fact ;) |
plateforms flocked
4 Attachment(s)
Hi,
So the figures are finished, varnished, and the plateforms are flocked. THe most observative will see that I didn't make the shoulders numbers : I just became too lazy for it... :rtfl: I glued the modelling flock with PVA glue, then once it dried, I added another coat of diluted pva glue. It makes the modelling flock more stronger, because that figures are game figs after all...so the bases should destroy the grass effect if it's not strong enough. Here the pics ! first pic : quarterback, 2d pic : slot receiver (option player), left receiver, right receiver, tight end 3rd pic : half back, fullback 4th pic : linemen |
I LOVE THOSE GLOVES thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$
|
I agree. It's a very easy way to make detailed hands, a WAY easier and faster than sculpting them. Just paint the glove in black, then add the color of your choice like I did. The result is quite realistic in real thmbsp$
I'll use that technic on my next figs. |
Well done!!!!!!!thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ ppls$ ppls$ ppls$ ppls$
