RooMorgans 11-19-2010 01:56 PM

Best I can find in going through my records is that I'm a modest 11-8 vs. this group so far.

I'm guessing I'm 0-for against whichever great ones are in the top 10. lffng$

Now this list has went to the dawgs!!!!!!!!!!

Number 9??????????????

I thought this is a list of top coaches....3 names still remain from the home league of the guy making this list....those same 3 are 3 top tweakers....I would win with those teams too! Coaching is beating a guy with your own team, then replaying that game with the team of the other guy, and beating him again!!!!
I had Hulk on the ropes at buzzball with a team i thru bases on literally just before playing! (ask mozeek!) I want a rematch!!!!!!
I have beaten Norbert everytime we have played. Never played Greg.

Spiderman is out for revenge....i'm calling out every coach ranked over me!!! I'm coming to your home, playing by your rules.....Im Nat'l....so thats what I do!!!!!!
I guess I'm going to have to play at Miggle....That seems to carry a lot of weight for your list.

Hulk, you just made me angry.....you wouldn't like me when I'm angry! Oh that's your line, right!????

ITS ON!!!!!

Nat'l
the peoples top 3

CorEy

CorEy,

Now listen here son...putting you ahead of Raiderman and at #9 is your Christmas gift from Mr. Davis.

Do I need to remind you that you were the subject of one of the best all-time quotes in EF from Mr. Ed Morgans when he was watching your game against Lomax..."CorEy, it's the second half and I got more yards than you - and I ain't even playing."

We all love you like a brother - after all you are the Face of the Hobby - but quit your whining, bro and just say, "THANK YOU" :D :D :D :D :D :D

And as for all you guys who just say, "I just based up a team last night" - I say the same thing to you all who don't ever have a kicker - that's all part of coaching - preparation! It puts you all in a "no lose" situation...if you win it's because of your great coaching but if you lose it's gotta be because of the fact that you "just based them up."

Can you tell I'm getting "my crabby on" - getting ready for the Packers vs Vikes in the dome...I hate it when they play in this giant hefty bag!

Shabby J 11-21-2010 02:00 PM

Didn't he quit because somebody was giving him a game in his comeback?mntwrth:

He had boils against Norbert and Norb was in dat tail and there have been many more advances in base tweaking.:nhnh:

National...

I'm with you! This list has been went to the dawgs!

If you base it on the ability to play multiple styles leagues and tournaments and win. (I'm listing rules and styles of play that I have seen these guys play but they may have not won the championship but had great success.) The top 10 over the past 5 years are...

1. Adrian Baxter (Everything)
2. Brian Nutt (Dixie, Shootout, BamaBlast)
3. Tom Johnson (BEFL, NEFL, Buzzball, Seawall.)
4. Butch Carter (Dixie, Seawall, Miggle)
5. Keith Chalmers (BEFL, NEFL, BamaBlast, Seawall)
6. Joe Greco (Everything)
7. National (Everything)
8. Mike Robertson (Shootout, CBSMF, BAMABlast, Seawall)
9. Jim Davis (Great Lakes, Shootout, Miggle)
10. Kevin Boddie (NEFL, BAM, MPFL, Shootout)

Top 10 League Champions and tournament champions in familiar styles of play.

1. Mike Robertson (DFW, CBSMF, Shootout, Open Run)
2. Brian Nutt (Dixie, Bama Blast)
3. Greg Hardmon (Great Lakes, Miggle)
4. Celo (LAFEL)
5. Tom Johnson (NEFL)
6. Adrian Baxter (Multiple)
7. Al Harvey (NEFL)
8. Butch Carter (Dixie, Miggle)
9. Joe Greco (BAM)
10. Anthony Burgess (MPFL)

There has to be a bases or foundation on how you determine the rankings. Otherwise its a "my favs" list! Like Jim's list is! haha

sweetka 11-21-2010 07:06 PM

Gotta agree!

Playing a ton by the same style under different names does not constitute greatness.

Adrian Baxter is clearly my tournament choice. He hasn't won Miggle but I personally saw him get robbed one year he had a great team.

League play is a whole different matter. There are so many dynamics involved with it. I think that tournament play should dictate who is number one overall.

Just my thoughts!

broncoman 11-21-2010 09:46 PM

wow 32

say NATIONAL,JIM has me at 32 after all the first and second places in league and tournaments. if he checked my records i would be higher.
BAMA BLAST, MIGGLE, TEXAS, LAEFL AND DUEL IN DESERT. ALSO GREEN ROOM RUMBLE.

Here is the deal. Jim Davis has every right to post HIS list of top 50. You don't have to agree with him. You don't have to like it, but there is no reason he can't post his feelings on this. It is a legitimate subject for some. No one is forcing anyone to read it and no one is asking you to post your opinion on HIS list. You certainly can post because this is a forum, but keep it on subject! It is only in fun and only reflects one persons opinion.

I removed the off subject posts and moved this back up to where it belongs. Anyone who can't control themselves and drags this off subject will receive a warning.

I'm honored to even make the list. You have guts posting your list, as you know there will be issues with any kind of rankings from anyone. As you've seen, you get the ole ("I did this, But I beat him") garbage.

Unless the hobby is sponsored, there will be no true ranking system.

Remember, this is Jim's list.

I remember Edgar for his speech after winning Miggle in South Bend......"This is for the Kids". :D ppls$ thmbsp$ frstplc frstplc

Only 6 remain of Jim's list....I thought you would include yourself, but that's cool you are leaving yourself out since it's your list. I was sure I would have seen Hulk by now, but I guess it's in the best interest to not include the person doing the list....it would be too hard not to rank yourself too high...or too low.

I get a kick out of this and at the end of the day what matters is that you are definitely a guy who is good for the hobby. We need guys to stir the pot and anyone who knows you knows that you're the type of guy who will give you the shirt off his back and do whatever you can to help them.

Thanks for doing the list and keep it comin'!
