Yes Mozeek, I agree the word INTEGRITY covers many different aspects of this hobby . I just thought the direction of this post was moving off subject, but I see where it is just running side by side off the first post.

Thanks

WIN AT ALL COST

Win at all cost personalities.

You don't have to be playing but you can certainly see it in anothers body language. THEN YOU WONDER WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU HAVE IN YOUR LEAGUE OR TOURNEY.

I saw this at the

1)sea wall brawl

2)miggle

3)The last mfca convention.

never saw it in the
1)Bam

lets put the body language on the table.

1) bickering over every single play that could be very simple.

2)failure to accept that a call could be the right one that is not in your favor.
3 eyes saw 1 thing and your the only one who saw something else.

3) failure to acknowledge that your player missed a tackle, the other coach pass grazed his wry, etc etc. Like item 2 but more detailed.

4)FAILURE TO RESPECT THE REFS. THIS IS THE ONE THAT NEEDS THE MAJOR ADDRESSING. In the mpfl, if you argue with the ref, IT'S A PENALTY.
This means,if the ref makes a call, DO NOT SAY ANYTHING. Follow the tech rule in basketball. If the coaches are going to keep overriding the refs, WHAT KIND OF ORGANIZATION DO YOU HAVE. The inmates running the asylum.
This is where commissioners and tourney heads must take control before there season or tourney. MAJOR GAME CHANGING PENALTIES.

5)SOME CRAFTING THINGS JUST RIGHT TO THEIR ADVANTAGE. It is hard to pin point this one but i'm sure others have stories.

6)failure to support other leagues just from a fellowship perspective. i always wonder about a person who only see what they painted and not the entire art gallery. How does this factor in winning at all cost . if you ignore the other paintings, you set yourself up to always win by just acknowledging yours. Won't risk your rep somewhere else in fear of not being successful outside of your norm.

WIN AT ALL COST COME IN MANY HIDDEN AGENDAS . ON THE FIELD AND OFF. The off is the pre game antics. can't pin point the pre game stuff, BUT IM SURE SOME HAVE STORIES.

Is this the element you want to be around ? IMAGINE IF WE ALL PLAYED FOR MONEY, WHAT WOULD WE HAVE THEN. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE REAL PERSONALITY TRAITS SURFACING.

Win at all cost comes in many hidden agendas, if you wrote a song about it, like to hear it, hear it go. (in living color)

here is the guitar

Obviously haven't seen any of this for myself but #4 on his list can't happen in any sport or game without some form of punishment.

Ken, we both know that there are many experienced coaches who are NOT willing to share some strategy with not just the new coach, but with another experieced coach...

... in the old days we called that a "strategy session"... it just does not happen as much anymore. I don't have a problem giving back cause it makes our next game better.....

Morgan - Excellent points

And i will say it again...........

WE SHOULD JUST BE LUCKY WE STILL HAVE SOMEONE TO PLAY WITH, then act accordingly.

Lets face it, this game might die with us. We are fighting hard to get it back out there to the mainstream, but it is still an uphill battle.
Be lucky you still have someone to play against! And ACT like you are luckyppls$ .

We all thought, at some point in our early adult hood that we were the only ones who still play the game.
We all thought at some point in our early adult hood that the game was done, dead, not around any longer.
Then!!!!, as feeling as though a miracle has happened (in this EF context) at another point in our adult hood, WE FOUND OTHERS WHO STILL PLAY THE GAME - OH SNAP!!!!!!!!!frstplc frstplc frstplc frstplc frstplc

Remember that feeling fellas, when you first found out the game was still alive?!!!!!????????

Carry that feeling now, in all aspects of this hobby, and act accordingly.

Feel lucky you still have another person that loves the game as you do.

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.

The next morning while they are eating breakfast,

the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.

"That laundry is not very clean", she said.

"She doesn't know how to wash correctly.

Perhaps she needs better laundry soap."

Her husband looked on, but remained silent.

Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry,

the young woman would make the same comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a

nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband:

"Look, she has learned how to wash correctly.

I wonder who taught her this."

The husband said, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."

And so it is with life. What we see when watching others

depends on the purity of the window through which we look.

Integrity In The Hobby.....

As a whole, the integrity level in the hobby is
high, but as in most cases you have that 10%,
give or take a %, that lack this quality. This
is sad,but true. Some just can't grasp it for
whatever reason(s).Go figure......
Integrity In The Hobby :
Real simple,if competing, DON'T CHEAT ! ( play fair)
Be Honest! Have Fun !
As for the business aspect of this hobby, the above
apply but most importantly,HONOR your commitments
both as a seller and a buyer.Communications is of
the utmost importance here too.If there are issues on either
side, this is how to work it out.Not ducking or dodging
someone. You made the commitment ---Honor It !
