"Sounds good to me"

Im with that if Ray is, He can oversee the rules process, on behalf of the MFCA, he along with the "TOURNY HEADS" from each region, draft the rules. I know its, repeating a process done numerous times, but this way each region can add there input, its all about confidence. Once the rules are drafted there submitted to the MFCA for review, once agreed by all parties, ratified by MFCA, then the same rules are used throughout the league. Those rules are then passed down to the "PRO COACHES" by the regional representatives in there particular region. This will be a full fledge league & ran as such, with stats and standings. Ill layout my format for a playoff system that will guarantee, no two coaches from a particular region, play for the title, with the title game rotating, adding a second date on the callender when its your year. Later on that, got some work to do peace!thmbsp$

Mid America Melee is IN! I know we are the new Tournament on the block but in our first year we had 12 coaches of which 8 were first time entrants. Thats what its all about. We are all excited for this opportunity.thmbsp$

Rules

Fellow players and hobbyists I’m willing to support the effort if asked to and I appreciate the vote of confidence. Before you put me to work on a rule set for championship play at a national level I have a set of principles that I will follow do what is right for the hobby. Chris LeMay and others have already put in a valid effort to create a solid set of rules that are easy to follow and fun to play by. I still recommend using them as is or as a basis to work from. Some of the principles; Rules must be easy to understand and suitable for a tournament environment. The rules must promote the hobby and set a high standard of play, no luck or random events created by coin flips or dice. There’s nothing wrong with random events in football in an effort to create realism, great for leagues and clubs but not championships based on skill, creativity and knowing how to make adjustments. The rules must promote creativity and skill for every facet of the game, kick-offs, pass plays, running plays, field goals, punts and on side kicks where a coach has to have a complete set of skills for each situation in order to compete. If people can put up with these principles and willing to put the game ahead of regions or styles please contact me via email, rfanara@verizon.net
Please note, I’m not willing to forbid or discourage regional rule sets. I put up a post about 6 weeks ago proposing regional MFCA tournaments using regional rules if desired. Winners of each region face off in Canton using a National rule set. You are permitted to play outside your home region in an effort to gain a spot in the “Tournament of Champions.”
Thanks, Ray F
