2nd Tornado Alley EFL season kicked off today

The 2nd Tornado Alley EFL season kicked off today with a bang..

I didn't play.. As you know I've have other more pressing problems..
But.. I had to stay and watch all day..

Geno's Raymond Airohawks, started the season off at 2-0 with a 12-7 victory over Weirdwolfs Rare, and a 8-3 win over Lance's Carribbean Dolphins. Genos Airohawks ran Tornado Alley F5 bases on the line, linebackers, and a looper that ran through and around blockers to score sacks..

Sure.. that was a shameless plug.. But.. performance on the field is performance on the field.. :)

In the other opening game, Terry's Tri-City Diesel scored a 12-3 win over rookie Chris's Lyons Lyners. The Lyons Lyners chalked up their first ever Tornado Alley win with a hard fought 7-3 win over Weirdwolfs Rare.

In the final game, Lance and his Caribbean Dolphins evened their record at 1-1 with a 14-0 win over Terrys' Tri-City Diesel.

Scores
Raymond Airohawks... 12 Rare....7
Tri-City Diesel... 12 Lyons Lyners....3
Raymond Airohawks....8 Carribbean Dolphins....3
Lyons Lyners....7 Rare....3
Caribbean Dolphins...14 Tri-City Diesel....0

Standings
Raymond Airohawks 2-0
Carribbean Dolphins 1-1
Lyons Lyners 1-1
Tri-City Diesel 1-1
Rare 0-2
Denver Broncos 0-0
Kansas Sodbusters 0-0
Pittsburgh Steelers 0-0
Raymond Boars 0-0

Yep, they took turns beating on the President (of the MFCA)

Bill, let me first say thanks for coming up to Salina Saturday. It was a great suprise to have you there with us for all the games. We're like family, and it wouldn't be the same without you. The fellowship with you is much needed.
We did miss Robert and Flynt alot today, and it's understandable when things come up that keep us away. I know this after sitting out the fall and winter months when you and the rest of the guys played. Life throws us on a rollercoaster ride whether we're ready for it or not.
The games were as exciting as ever, what with all the crazy plays that went for big gains, touchdowns, or superb defensive stops. I had a blast playing Chris and Lance. Learned alot of things about myself as well as them.
Man, I'm still seeing stars after that hit Lance's linebacker laid on my big running back (knocking him to the ground six yards deep in my backfield and causing a fumble).
Guttman is correct in his ovservation about how fun our league sounds to the casual person on the message board. If they only got to spend the day playing games with us they'd see in person that the word "fun" doesn't do justice to some of the stuff we witness. (Weirdwolf howling at the top of his lungs directly above a gameboard to see of the decible level alone could cause the men to move........that was priceless ! )

Here come the photos.
I just wanted to ad a note of thanks to Todd Brown and The Arena in Salina, Kansas for hosting the event. Todd has a great shop selling sports cards, DVD's, Magic the game, sports memorabilia etc.. He opened his game room for us early and throughout the day we had spectators who never new miniature football was still around. I can't tell you the number of times we heard someone say, "What the? Why I had that game when I was a kid. Do they still make it?". We also got to introduce the game to a number of kids who had never seen the game before. In the photos you can see Terry explaining the game while playing it to kids who came back to watch the action. We also were able to get a couple of them on the field to show them a bit about passing and how the game works.

It was a great day! Lots of FUN and YES, when I howled over the game table the figures actually did move. If I would of really cranked it up I think we could of used it in game play. Who needs electricity or batteries!:D

This first photo is of Chris, our newcomer in his first day of official action. He is smiling over his first official victory as RARE QB Raw goes down on the last play of the game to a sack by Chris's 49ers. Congrats Chris but this ain't happening again so enjoy while you can! ;)

Thanks to all of the Tornado Alley League members for a very fun filled day.
I want to echo Wolfs words Thanking Todd @ THE ARENA in Salina Kansas.
It was a perfect atmosphere with all the Sports Cards and items and the other people gathering to play games. Lots of kids so the more we go there to play games the more exposure.
It was the first offical outing for the Tornado Alley F-5 in competition. I was very happy with the results.

Thanks again all of you for a great day!!!!

Geno H

P.S. Come on Terry !!!! Stick it up in the Air!!!!!!!!
