Anyone close to Ohio want to join a (mostly) solitaire league?

Just curious,
I am thinking about creating a solitaire league where each person owns one or two divisions in a conference and plays the games within those divisions by themselves, but plays other coaches when their teams play out of division. Bill and I would want reliable coaches who are creative to play a more realistic rule set. Honestly, we would want someone who would want to have fun and have the game be realistic over a pure competition event.

So, anyone interested?

don't have time to play with more than 1 team , but it does sound interesting.

You oughta get with Dre - this is pretty similar to the project we are working on, but we hadn't worked out a non-conference component yet (maybe that's something we'd look at for the second year once we all got a good season of our own games under our belt and made sure everyone was still up for it).

Either way, have fun!

Jeff,
Honestly, you were one of the first of a handful of people I thought about.

PS...if you are not immensely talented, that is cool. We will help you tweak up your team so they are the equivilent of ours for no charge. So, you solitaire people who get on this site but never go to shows, you might think about this!

That is not a problem. I tweak all of my own bases right now. I only have 6-8 not tweaked by me on my team of 40 + players.
The problem is time

Jeff,
Understood. Of course I was talking to someone who might be interested but has not played at the competitive level that you have for as long. I am sure you tweak well, and very shortly the Jets will have a chance to find out!

I just tweak the bases . I have no method for strength or speed , they just happen:D

Guys,
What about Akron, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Dayton...even Chicago?

This is a chance to be a part of something really cool! Each person would own a division or two (depending on the number of coaches), play solitaire games within the division, and compete when your teams play outside the division. Eight game season (maybe ten)...data program to track stats already made (Bill created it, never seen one near as good), realistic play, cool rules (some of which can be negotiated), realistic figures, big boards....really a solitaire player's heaven!

Think about it, and if you are a guy who likes to make the game look as realistic as possible WITHOUT tons of stoppages, contact me and let's brainstorm on this thing!

This might be exactly what I need...

This might be what I need over the next year!

I'm interested.;)

Awesome Dave!

Trying to get people who are relaxed, play the game for fun, like cool and more realistic rules (many of which are negotiable), and like to play mostly solitiare, occasional out-of-divisional games.

here is what I am thinking:

*9 game season
*each divisional team plays the other teams in that division twice
*So, a total of 6 of the 9 games a team will play will be solitaire games
*Those divisional games will be a total of 12 solitaire games
*3 out-of-division games, for a total of 12 competitive games
*so...a total of 24 games a season
*each team sends the division winner to the playoffs (neutral place), three wins and you are the Super Bowl winner

Any other ideas?

Mark
