here is how I see it.
years ago I wanted to win at all costs , and I did work myself up for the other team. I worked up a dislike and I wanted to bury the other team , but after the game everything was back to normal .... til the next week.
I think the top coaches in the country have a similiar attitude , you have to if you want to be the best.
Now I am more of the attitude of have fun first , winning is secondary and my record shows this. It has got progressively worse over the years. I went from a 90% win 4-9 years ago, to 80 % 3 years ago to %60 a year ago to %30 this year. Yes I still hate losing , but now I play and make teams as an enjoyment and not so much as a competitive person.

I want to make a team { BUCKEYES} and start playing in a tournament or 2 a year and rekindle that old attitude , but not have the same attitude in our league.
Our league is like a family and if I beat someone in our league I feel bad for them , almost like seeing your brother loose a game . Sorry had to go alittle mushy :D
now I have to go eat some nails and pass a kidney stone !!!!:fghttt:

Yeah I understand that line of thinking as well!

IMO, leagues practically have to be more leisurely with the emphasis on comradarie and fairness for them to both thrive and survive. It's a delicate balance.

My first two years in the Great Lakes. I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

Just my thoughts.
