anybody installing this offense with their miniature teams in your next upcoming seasons? :)

Another reason...

why the state of California dominates high school and college football--innovation!ppls$

I actually used to play football and baseball against Piedmont back in the day. They had three or four autistic kids on the baseball team back then. I once started a bench-clearing brawl when I beaned one of the autistic kids in the head with an 89 mph fastball--calm down everyone--I DIDN'T DO IT ON PURPOSE!:rtfl:

My hats off to those coaches. The willingness to try and develop this offensive scheme is very refreshing. I'm sure that this offense will keep opposing coaches some sleepless nights.

How can all those receivers be legal. The article talks about having just one center and a tightend lined up on either side. That would make nine eligible receivers. The "o" has seven men on the line of scrimmage but all are eligible.

Only 5 receivers are...

eligible for downfield passes. The others can still be used to catch balls thrown behind the line of scrimmage, or laterals--they cannot go downfield for passes, though--it is totally legal, though a headache for the refs, i'm sure.

That's what I gethered from it as well. On different plays, different receivers/TE's will be lineman and different ones will be lineman. I'm not sure what their playcalling verbage would be for that, but it is interesting to see. There is a web page with some info on it.

So a lineman can catch a pass behibd the line of scrimmage but not a forward pass? Thanks for clearing that up. I wonder if the receivers have to report to the refs that they are eligible or not?

Actually...

...there technically are no linemen. Everyone is wearing an eligible number and depending on the playcall, anyone could be eligible - 5 downfield and the other 5 behind the LOS!!!

Could you imagine seeing this on Sundays?

It's ridiculous, I hope it stays where it is and never see the light of day!
