Over the years, Footballfigures.com has been blessed to have many customers, some of which frequent this board. We had always made a promise to our customers that once we broke even on our products, we would lower our prices.

Our interest was not to simply make money in this hobby for we knew all alone, you could never get rich in this game. It was (and still is our intent) to give you an opportunity to experience what we experience.

Yep Reg... I don't even want to imagine the costs that Miggle, FF.com, and Buzzball have poured into it... I know what it's like for one drawing, one mold with two parts, and one base.. Figures?? Costs would go up and up.. and then up..

It is funny how many people, once hearing of your venture, will ask how much $$$ are you going to make.. And you say.. I'd like to break even in 2 years.. even though that may be a bit optimistic.. And they think your're nuts.. Course.. Maybe they're right.. :D

I also have thought about it in this vain..
If I was to present all the bills, mileage, websites, boxes, stickers, packaging, credit card companies getting their percentage, everything that goes into this..Even with the IRS making me depreciate the mold, and not being able to take all of the costs involved off my taxes... The IRS boys would end up disallowing the "losses" (eventually) , because what I was involved in, was a "hobby". My girlfriend faced the same thing with Avon.

I'll talk to my tax lady and see what she suggests...

Are we making any money.. Nah.. Probably never will. Cuz if we do sell enough bases, fast enough.. We'll probably come up with something else.. (not figures though)

Do I regret it? at all? Heck NO.. Me and Geno have had a blast with this.

Besides.. If you want to look at it another way..
I could have gone out and bought me a new truck..
And I'd have lost more $$$ in a couple years (in reality) than was just spent coming up with new bases. So there's my excuse/way of looking at it.. And I'm sticking with it.. LOL

That penny special for 4 sets of 24 stock FF poses is an OFF THE CHARTS great deal (its the last deal on the "specials" page. Count me in on that one! I love the stock poses, but I just love the cutting and remodelling too!

This topic needs a bump since it looks like the deal is done at the end of this month!

I think its a great deal too. If you like to cut players up and try things, this may be the deal for you. Now that I am finishing this customizing DVD, it will definitely make it where people are not messing figures up and not getting their money's worth.

I think this sale ends in like a week (I have to check).
