just saying, i coated with krylon matte finish
|
I always use ...
Testor 1261! Matte Krylon will turn it into this everytime!@
You could probably soak this figure in soapy water for a few days or just get another fig and start over. Reg |
Try this. Put the figure in your microwave. Set the timer for 10 seconds on high. Let cool , repeat. It's worked more than once to get rid of a 'frosted' look from bad sealer.

i have tried both of these methods, and neither of them have worked.
Does anyone else have a similar experience? Taylor |
Krylon
It looks like the cold weather got you. If you use any spray outdoors in weather below 35 degrees, it will come out of the can that way. Krylon matte is what I use, and it is the best finish out there for that matte look. Just use it indoors, or in warmer surroundings. You may also have held the can to close. Good luck with your problem.

Hello Michael,
Try Terry's way a few times. It sucks when it happens, imagine it happening to an entire team! 4th and 50, time to Punt Sorry, but I believe that's the only thing you can do at this point. |
It's sad and I have had the same problem once before.
Gift it to Frank Jacobs to use on his snow field. Kind of looks like Carl has been in a heavy downfall. |

Mike,
It looks like you don't have anything to lose. If you want I'd be willing to try to 'clear up' Carl for you. No charge, just return postage please. If I fail you really aren't out anything, and I'll still return your figure. But if I'm successful .....................well you still owe nothing and you still get the figure back. Just a thought. PM me if you're interested. Terry Popham |
Clear coat
Pick up a bottle of FolkArt outdoor Matt Sealer #893 or the Glossy #892 (I use both) they are brush on and take longer to apply but they are heads and shoulders over the spray stuff. It's cheaper and a bottle will last you at lot longer than a can of spray.I have used the spray and had some problems just like you so I switched and have had none since and I have painted all 32 NFL teams in home and away uniforms plus a bunch of college and high school...
all with out a problem. The trick to using this stuff is to remember.....a little goes a long way. It's sold at Micheals and most craft stores who sell acrylic paint. Larue |
