FORCEFIELD
5 Attachment(s)
Coaches,
The new home of the Airohawks, Team G-FORCE/Oregon State Beavers and KU Jayhawks "FORCEFIELD". Overall Dimensions - 26 x 51 24 ga. Sheet metal - 24 x 48 Playing surface - 23.5 x 48 "Larue" vinyl cover Single A/C linear motor - positioned dead center 50 yard line. No strong side Variable speed rotary control switch - underneath out of sight. Four adjustable legs Sideline area holds 25 players - The field is higher than the sidelines "holding" the players in the Coach/Team box. The field plays well as is VERY quiet. I decided on a generic permanent vinyl cover so the field could be used for any team. I can then install removeable covers with Team logos for special games. The wood frame needs holes filled, sanded and apply a finish. I have some additional plans for field dressings. I will update with photos as I complete the work. |
Beautiful clean cut field Geno
But,...........clearly your setup of players is purely for pics purposes right ? (smile).

sweet big field.
great looking field i will love one of them that size, but i was wondering about the positioning of the motor. with the field being that big and the motor at the 50 yard line wouldn't that be the most livest part of the field with action but the vibration dying the further away from center creating a dead spot on each end of the field?. why not put two motors on that big board 1 at each end zone to provide enough vibration to be equally distributed over the whole field to eliminate dead spots? or does it have dead spots?. great field though just wondering why not 2 motors on each end for maximum vibration throughout the entire board? i also love the switches on the table. that is very creative, great job.

Marty t,
NO dead zones on the FORCEFIELD. LOL :) Honestly I have more than enough power. The rotary control switch is very near as low as it can go at game speed. I actually had a couple of hot spots that I had to settle down. That was one of my main goals in building this field, smooth quiet even power. I think a tweak or two more and I am there.thmbsp$ Geno H |

G,
GREAT board and nice name..."Forcefield". Took me awhile, forcefield...huh???....OH, G-Force, forcefield...I get it now. Things just take me a bit longer:) Cool board, hopefully, I'll get a chance to play on it some day... Joe Ram |
Having the motor dead center seems to be the smart thing to do, how come Miggle doesn't do the same?
|
Well Done!!
Excellent Work Geno!!!!!
I love the elevated field (like old Soldiers Field)thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ Generic fields are cool when you have so many teams that will need to play on it! send the PM on $$$ for the next edition............ I wonder about the one motor too, but I have seen field that are powerful with just one.... K-Lo |

These Savages here want a person to purchase, order, and make you pay for the cuts on a 10' piece of metal to make just one table game!? :rnt; Who's got connections on just one piece already cut to size dude? let me know if you can leak out that info to me lol.... :) |
THE FORCE IS STRONG IN THIS ONE!
Geno,
I share Michigan Joe's sentiment that playing on a larger field is THEE ultimate way to play. Welcome to the club! I know the satisfaction you feel having made that puppy from scratch and seeing that the fruit of your labor has bared so many compliments. Kudos to you on a job well done. thmbsp$ On another note, I spoke with OldSchool earlier tonight while I was out and about, and he mentioned that you are bringing the ForceField to The BRAWL at the Hall. GREAT NEWS!!! ppls$ We are going to have almost every make and model there and I can't wait to play a few rounds on each one. Hopefully we can talk Kansas Bill into coming out, too. I owe him a game of ARENA!!! ;) Take care of yourself and see ya in Canton! Jimbo |
Jimbo,
Yes the "FORCEFIELD" will be makin the trip to Canton for the SWB09.thmbsp$ I will work on Kansas Bill to make the trip. Flynt & I do a little bit of arena also. We may have to toss in the little 500 with the Arena cover and bring the teams. :fghttt: :fghttt: Geno H |
Yes the Force is strong with you!
Outstanding Geno! You are re inventing the hobby my man! That is one great looking board. Like I said in a earlier post, pretty soon everyone in the hobby will have a big board!
Now we have to get you started on the hand held scoreboard/game clock! G- Force is here to stay!!!!!!! ppls$ ppls$ ppls$ Nat'l approves G-Force products! |
GrandmasterKC,
Here ya go bro. Geno H |
