LOOKING AT THE BIG PICTURE

WHILE I WILL BE COMPETING IN THE COLLEGE BOWL SERIES......I WOULD LIKE TO GO ON RECORD AS SAYING THAT THIS HOBBY SHOULD BE WELL REPRESENTED IN CANTON......

WITH THAT SAID....ANY SECTION OR RULESET SHOULD BE FULLY SUPPORTED FROM ALL IN ATTENDANCE... "IF ONE FAILS WE ALL FAIL"
SO PLEASE I ASK

SUPPORT ALL RULESETS THAT WILL BE PRESENT BECAUSE IT WILL AFFECT ALL OF US IN SOME WAY, SHAPE OR FORM

GOOD LUCK TO THE BRAWL AT THE HALL......I WISH YOU GUYS AND ALL MUCH SUCCESS......
PEACE ....LOVE AND HAIRGREASE

Coach K-LO 03-04-2009 11:00 AM

does that mean......

....does that mean you will be "playing" in the "Brawl at the Hall" and the CBSMF and anybody else who wants some action?????

I will have my timer with me for guys to play BEFL Style in Canton. Did not have it last year. For those who like to throw...can you get a WR open in 3 seconds??????

From My Understanding

It will be almost impossible to compete in Both. But I still Support what Don and Jimbo are attempting to do.

My 3.4 G-Men will be in tow to go back to my "ROOTS" and play BEFL style....yes to the receiver open in 3 secs......

Treks1 03-04-2009 11:03 AM

Coaches Challenge

Lynn can correct me if I am wrong but I Looks like there will be three "waves" of competition at the Convention.

CBSMF Bowl games
Brawl at the Wall (SWB Rules I assume, LOS divider...)
MFCA Coaches Challenge.

In the coaches challenge you got extra points for playing w/other Leagues' rules. Through much debate we are moving to work on/update and old rules for a rookie or "newbie" for beginners but these rules may not be a part of the Coaches Challenge....

I am sure this info has been posted, but admit that I have yet to read them in great detail.....

Coach K-LO 03-04-2009 11:08 AM

that is pretty much the case, Treks1

it's going to be fun and I think you would be selling yourself short Moe if you don't particapate in all of them.... It just means having 3 or more teams with you on the road....

... CBSMF Orangemen

.... 3.4 Giants for the Coach's challange

.... 3.3 team for SWB style

... 3.2 standard team for all other action........

that's what I plan to bring with me. Something like that.

mozeek 03-04-2009 11:18 AM

LO-LO

CBSMF ORANGEMEN
3.2 RAIDERS
POSSIBLY CHARGERS
3.4 GIANTS

I HAVE ENOUGH TEAMS....BUT MAYBE NOT ENOUGH TIME....I THINK THE BRAWL AND THE CBSMF WILL BE VERY TIME CONSUMING BUT I ALSO DON'T PLAN ON SLEEPING SO EF WILL BE PLAYED UNTIL I SLEEP........:D :D :D :D :D

Any and everyone is always welcome to ...

participate in the CBSMF.

We will allow for 4 Independents to play in the CBSMF playoff but that's at their own risk.

I will definitely try to do something with K-Lo and the BEFL. I don't have a 3.4 team but if you bring me one, I will play (when I have time).

I have never not said the CBSMF is closed to anyone. I have always said all are welcome. From my perspective, and I spoke with Wolf on this several times, that I think it's great that the Brawl, the CBSMF, the challenge and any other styles could be there. I wish George Diamond would bring his "circus" to the games as well. And Anthony Burgess bring the "realism" of the MPFL to the games. The DSEFL is having a tournament down South I think. What a shame that it is not at Canton.

Now, personally, I don't think Canton should always be the stop. I think it should go to places where the games are played. Like Washington, Harrisburg, Dallas, Detroit, Atlanta. We wanted the CBSMF in Vegas but to "kill 2 football players with one football" sort of speak, this was the most viable option for this time in place.

But yes, I have always been for bringing everything together. What I like about the game may not be what others like about the game. We're coming there to have fun, be loud, and crown a CBSMF champion. If we do some teaching, customizing, and learning in the aftermath, that's gravy on my biscuit football field!

Just my opinion,

Reg

THE BIG PICTURE

THE BIG PICTURE,

The weekend should be filled with exciting games/fun like a true convention should be. Everyone can learn first hand from all parties that post on line throughout the year. There is a way coaches can play in both tourney's. I dont think coaches understand the magnitude of both tourneys FOR THAT WEEKEND because it's 5 months away. reg i think we should keep it in canton becuase its just what we envisioned in hosting a week long massive convention in 2010,2011.

IM NOT SPEAKING FOR THE BRAWL STAFF BUT IN MY OPINION COACHES COULD PLAY IN ALL 3 EVENTS (CBSMF, THE BRAWL, COACHES CHALLENGE)
** ALL OF THE GOVERNING BODIES HAVE TO DO IS AGREE TO SPLIT THE DAY ON FRI, SAT AND SUN. I don't want to see coaches miss either event but there is a way. ALL OF YOU STAY UP UNTIL 3;30 IN THE MORNING ANYWAY. PLUS WE HAVE THEE ENTIRE PLACE TO OURSELVES.
If you really want to get greedy you can sneak in some late night road warrior games from various leagues . i can see saturday being a 20 hour play day. I think those hours can be divided up quite nicely. In other words when one tourney is ready to start on there given time allotment, the other tourney stops or goes next during there time slot. ALL THAT HAS TO BE DECIDED IS THE NEGOTIATED TIME, THAT'S IT.

I think many coaches are under the impression they cannot do both. It's not like we have the place for 6 hours and have to sqeeze in everything. YOU WAN'T TO SEE A BIG PICTURE, YOU WAN'T ALL TO SUCEED. Agree to sit down and work out a weekend play sked for the coaches. THAT WEEKEND IS NOT ABOUT THE CBSMF OR THE BRAWL. IT'S ABOUT A COACHES CHALLENGE THAT WILL INCLUDE BOTH. BUT IT'S MAINLY ABOUT THE COACHES!!!!!!

WHO'S READY TO TAKE A SEAT, IM SURE WOLF HAS AN IDEA ON TIMING THE WEEKEND EVENTS. We talked about this kind of weekend for years and we will finally have it in 5 MONTHS. lets take advantage to what has been given to THE MFCA.

Perfectly Explained

Dre....but let the powers that be put in the real deal....it's easy to speculate but I would rather hear it from them.......

WEIRDWOLF 03-04-2009 01:05 PM

-Each tourney sets their own schedule with some regard towards other events happening (We would like everybody to stop play on Friday night for 1-2 hours for the MFCA welcome dinner. We are hoping to make the meal free but that will depend).

-ALL games played whether in the CBSMF or The Brawl or other count in the Coaches Points Challenge (CPC).

-Remember, after the first round of each tourney half the participants (Reg, Don, correct me if I am wrong) will be free to pursue other games for the CPC prizes and can compete in the skills events. The MFCA CPC, tickets for HOF events, FREE pass to the HOF and skills events are only open to MFCA members. $20 is all a membership costs and if you plan on coming to the MFCA Convention we would hope that you would help support this financially by being a member. We can't force you, but it would make life easier.

If all goes well this year, next year we will work towards more days.

Here Comes Da' Pain!!!

Fellas,

All of these styles are great! One thing that still hasn't changed and I'm finding it even harder to accept now. These weight limits! This has nothing to do with the MPFL system, but why can't we put some weight on these figures? Weighted figures may require more work, but the results are fabulous and you don't have to change your style of play! You can still use "The Box", Seawall Brawl Divders, Roll with the big dogs on the clock! What ever, just put some GDPMF weight on the figures! Weight limits of 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 grams. We are talking a mere tenth(1/10) of a gram. We are painting, reconfiguring & customizing. We have newer bases made of better plastic. We want to start branching out from the old ways of doing things! Move forward and push! 3.2, 3.4 Moby Jobies please! Let's go 4.0-5.0 grams! Turn it up! Weighing in at @300 lbs of USDA Prime Negro you know I know about weight!
Tron has weighed in!!!!:rnt; ppcrn :rnt; :rnt; :fghttt:

Bring your weighted team...if you can find people to play, those games count in the CPC!

One other thing about the CBSMF

Our next season will start on that weekend as well and if you find that your time is wasted doing nothing, go ahead and schedule a game against another CBSMF team and those games will count towards the 2010 standings and records.

That works well for Independents who want to play in the CBSMF but don't have a home conference. If you can schedule some games against others who will be there, especially after they lose in any round, it would make sense to get yourself a referee or two and play a game that will count towards your ranking and record for 2010.

This is all about economics and feasibility.

Great idea and once again, all those games played count in the CPC!

I've got to...

dive Mantaraydre' some cred too. We were just yaking about "what ifs" and the thought crossed my mind in a way and his in another way.

So, that's what came of the crossing of the minds!

Tron is pleased....

Fellas,

I just love to rant!:rnt; Isn't life grand! I'll bring a weighted LSU college team and the Bucs may make an appearance as well. So let it be written! So let it be done!:fghttt:

Tron,
We gotta get a game in! :fghttt:
