tip #2

practice every day for at least an hour with your team, study their speed and cuts, know the bases.

detroitchild 06-09-2009 02:05 PM

tip #3

Get that special blitzer on an old QB base and get to the QB. He doesnt have to get sacked, just make that coach switch off early with perceived pressure.

:D 2 good tips in 30 words!:D

Contact Jim Davis or Norbert for some bases.

Four tips to know

1. Have passion,it will carry you
2. Do your research and give back when you become a vet.
3. Learn how to practice
4. Play for the love of the game

Tips

Most coaches will lose patience, trying for the big play. Keep everything in front of you on defense and make them grind it out.

WEIRDWOLF 06-09-2009 03:03 PM

Good start...more specifics though...like for example...use a lighter to get speed for your recievers.

Not so general....be specific on individual parts of the game.

Keep em coming.

Coach K-LO 06-09-2009 03:24 PM

30 words or less cannot provide enough information for specific items like what you said Wolf.

"always have a deep safety - cleanup aka last man"

" find other ways to play pass defense becauses loopers don't always get there"

"don't be a pass-pass-pass guy, try running to make the defense play honest"

* That runningback base just might be the best linebacker you've ever seen, etc.

That's the idea.. More of these.

I win?

styx 06-09-2009 08:38 PM

hey

practice, practice, practice and timely execution, know what your players can do,and it doesnt hurt to have a killer defense, but by any measure ,play with passion, the secret is to keep the defense guessing as much as possible, and have fun.

RavennaAl 06-09-2009 10:19 PM

Find a coach to play against who sucks more than you do. :nhnh: :dohdh:

WEIRDWOLF 06-09-2009 11:17 PM

Sorry guys...I have rephrased the question. I wasn't getting the type of answers I was hoping for.

Don't overthink this.

Keep the answers specific like "Trouble passing? Try trimming your QB's passing hand to a point to decrease slippage during passing".

Tomkat gets 1 free raffle ticket from round one! 3 left to go.
Lomax's "Know Thy Men" post is in the running and Hoopers is close but needs to be reworded some how. Minni Tom's post is in the running

Keep trying!

Find your strength and stick with it. Don't adjust unless you have to.

RavennaAl 06-10-2009 06:58 AM

Practice by using the weakest bases you can find against the strongest bases you can find, so you can develope a strategy to beat a stronger opponant.

What? You didn't think I could think of something that's actually useful? mgngcrz ;) thmbsp$

bigdawg43 06-10-2009 09:25 AM

Here is one that I found useful

The first time you are invited to play with others don't, go only to scout your future opponents. Also know the rules they play by. ex. front or side tackle

detroitchild 06-10-2009 09:38 AM

Plain and simple!

Make sure you're having fun doing this.

Raven maniac 06-10-2009 09:42 AM

Passing

Passing will make or break you. Download the passing targets and practice passing at different yardages with clear targets and engaged or not-so clear targets.

Darrian

HOOP 06-10-2009 11:26 AM

Kick Returns

Kick Returns, the most unstructured play of the game. Capitalize and get a quick score. So, prepare better than your opponent because there is not much coaching on this play. ltsplbll TOUCHDOWN!ltsplbll

Scott

Use the old Qb bases from the old white QB's. They are easy to tweak and fast like lightning.

Raven maniac 06-11-2009 09:37 AM

Defensive Backs

Make sure that some of your fastest bases on your team are your DB or S. Safety more that's your last defense. Gotta catch'em.

WEIRDWOLF 06-11-2009 09:42 AM

Keep em coming....share a secret

detroitchild 06-11-2009 03:13 PM

Tweaking!

A pair of flat nose pliers and a candle warmer goes a long way in helping tweak proline bases.

(OK, OK...so it's not my idea but I'm gettin' desperate here. Besides...it's a darn good tip) lffng$

sweetka 06-11-2009 08:36 PM

Mines

Know your team, learn your opponent, relax when under pressure, then realize win or lose your opponent put in just as much work so congrautulate your opponent for their efforts!

Peace

Tomkat 06-12-2009 12:05 AM

Before you set up your team, have a game plan - what figure and base best fits each position. Have your team in mind before even starting.

bigdawg43 06-12-2009 12:33 AM

if you are having trouble passing with the ttq cut out a small groove on the passing hand for your finger. It helps with the touch of the ball
