I've talked to my attorney.
He informs me I can do anything I want to with it.

What are the rules

What is this so called new style, innovation? Do you really have to consult an attorney to play Electric Football now? When is the release date and what company are we referring to? I have played so many ways that I surely have crossed that path before.

Wait, I think I saw that style at the Miggle joint. Yep, stop reset, stop reset, run. Played that way from 1976 until 1998. I don't think you guys were born yet but if you were I apologize. I did used to love playing that way but if I have to consult an attorney to play then it's time to hang up the cleats.

I wish all EFLers luck with their style but it is NOT NEW. Patent it if you want but know that someone has been there before you.

Think

A hobby is what you make it . PS3 is a hobby to some people , model trains , art etc . It is what you make it , so with that said small minds make for a small hobby and great minds make for a great hobby . It's all in what you put into it . Have fun playing the way you like and I hope that you will come to understand one day .

interesting, indeed

good luck with your copyrights for your 'method' of mini-football. Having been around since the early "online days" of our sport-hobby, iT has come a long way from those days. At the same time, it has not advanced that far from the early days of electric football.

As I have said on more than one time, you did not CREATE mulitiple stops on during a play - we all have done that in the past but never gave it a "name". That has been offered, and/or pointed out to you over the years with your only response to these claims is "someone trying to steal something from you".

Pass Placement (as you call it) was brought to the masses thru Vance Warren (once was a part of your inner circle) and Rules 2000. Since that time, it has taken on various adjustments to what it is on the tournament circiut today. It is a little late to claim that now, in my humble opinion.

This is not a "hater post" as your new #2 would have some to believe, this is simply a request that you end with this hostile position you appear to take if someone disagrees with your rules, league, playing method, etc.

It's old, it's boring, it's dumb to a certain degree, and it continues to keep you in a "less than flavorful spot" in the game.

You are a good guy, but as it has been said before, you rub folks wrong with the positions that you take.

If you really feel that MPFL will take off, let it stand on it's own (after you have your copyrights in place).

NO HATING, JUST VENTING
You can call me anytime

The only reason to copyright anything is to keep others from PROFITING off of the idea/work of someone else.

You can copy anything to use for your own enjoyment. Like taping an episode of Friends onto DVD. It becomes a legal issue when you use that copy of Friends to make money. IE - Having a Friends Party and charging admission - or simply making and selling copies of it. It's illegal when you PROFIT from someone else's work.

Is anyone profiting from your work?

Didn't think so.

I am scared to death that ANYONE would start to bring legality into our world. You just may be starting something that will ruin this hobby for everyone.

Think about it...the REAL copyright infringment is occurring all over the EF world. Custom boards, board covers, decals, custom figs...all produced with the unauthorized use of licensed and COPYRIGHTED logos and sold for PROFIT. Your legal stance just may bring this into more focus...thanks.

Thanks AB for bringing legality to our hobby...letting your ego ruin the fun and the private customization businesses of dozens on this board.

We all thank you!

I respect your opion on this subject , but there is some information that you don't have .

Yes your right , Vance Warren brought it to the masses but were do you think he got it from ? Who did the hole idea come from ?

He brought it to you guys while I was still working on this system , but I think that you should contact him your self and he will only tell you what I have told you and Mike Pratt have stated this as well . On this subject your 100% Wrong .

I know that this is your opion , and I'm in no way up set . You and others call it Multi Stop .
1: I never played this hobby that way befor , so when I came across it , it seemed like a good idea , and I never seen any one play that way befor .
2: The creater is the one who has legal rights to that idea , so look at it this way , if there is a house for sale and every one says it's there house , but no one has legal rights to it , then some one comes along and legally buys the house not knowing the history , then that person owns that house .

It would seem that your unwilling to give me credit for anything , I guess next your going to say that I didn't create this system . Or maybe that the web page was taken from someone else .

You said that you have been around a long time , well if so then you would have known this fact . And this proves my point and as to why I'm protecting my idea from people like your self who is not properly informed and seek to discredit others hard work .

So Coach K-LO , What have you created ? What original idea did you get protected ? What idea did you come up with that was truly original ?

Those who can do , but those who can't try to discredit those who do !

Until we learn to respect one another and not try to discredit one another this hobby will not get the respect it's needs .

Lets get the facts right .
1: I did invent pass placement rather you believe it or not !
2: MPFL is more then just multi stop as you call it , there are other areas that make up the hole system . But it is sad that that is all you can focus on .
3: Legality was done to protect MY IDEA ! ( KTown49ers )

Protect it from what?!?!?!

Nobody can steal a way to play EF and profit from it!!!! So what's to protect?!?!?!?

You have always invited people to watch your system so they can experience it...so you expect them to go home and not use it unless they PAY you for the right to play the game a certain way?!?!?!?

Have you always required payment to USE your way of playing?!?!?!?

Wow....just wow.

You used the "house" ownership issue...one big difference big boy...a house is a tangible asset that appreciates in value. It is not a copyrighted intangible idea.

And again...COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT ONLY PROTECTS YOU FROM OTHERS PROFITING FROM YOUR IDEA....others don't want to profit from it...THEY JUST MAY WANT TO PLAY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My last point: I could go to the patent office today and copy a patent on how to make the Callaway Big Bertha. I could even build it and use it for my own enjoyment LEGALLY. I just couldn't sell the product I made from a patented idea for profit!! Do you still not get it??

NO ONE WANTS TO SELL YOUR IDEA...THEY JUST WANT TO PLAY IT...AND THAT'S NOT COPYRIGHT INFRINGMENT!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow....just wow.
