TWEAKERS COME CLEAN ! WHAT GIVES !!!!

ALRIGHT COACHES/TWEAK MASTERS.

I had

1) MR. T SAY, "I pity the base". AND THE BASE FLATTEND ON IT'S OWN

2) 10 SUMO WRESTLERS PUT A BASE IN BETWEEN THEM WHILE WRESTLING

3) 5 18 WHEELERS RUN OVER THE BASE

4) BRIAN ORAKPO HIT A PRONG WITH ONE OF HIS WEIGHTS

5)LOU FOURIGNO (HOWEVER YOU SPELL HIS NAME ) SAY, " BASE, Dont make me angry, you would'nt like it when im angry " I LOVE THE HULK TV SHOW !!!
" Mr maghee, dont make me angry, you would'nt like it when im angry.
(THE GREAT JIM DAVIS SHOULD PUT THIS ON HIS POST !!!)

6)A GORILLA SQUEEZE A PRONG

7) ROSEANNE SIT ON THE BASE

8) A YOUNG ARNOLD (TERMINATOR) CRUSH A BASE

9) A SHARK BITE ON A PRONG

10) SAT IT ON PAM ANDERSON'S (BREH SIS SIZZ) REMEMBER IN LIVING COLOR !!!! TO GET HEAT ON THE PRONGS

***And they still won't get thick and flat they way JIM DAVIS, NORBERT, GENO, MICHIGAN JOE and others serves them up.

WHAT GIVES ???????????????

IT'S NOT THAT MUCH SQUEEZING IN THE WORLD !!!

WHAT THE HELL'S GOIN HERE

A guy a a construction site driving a tar laying truck said, "They must be using one of these ".

When these coaches tweak the prongs are as thick as a stick of gum.

WHAT KING OF TOOL TIME TIM PLIERS ARE BEING USED OUT THERE ?

Who has photos of bases ther have twaeked with super thick/flat prongs.

Do you realize how tiring it must be to tweak like that. Your hands have to hurt after 4 to 5 bases.

"Ya, de trouble wid your friend is dat he has become fat and flabby."

"Ya, he is built like a girly-man and has been sucked into a loser hole"

"But, we can help him. We are going to 'pump him up'."

"Ya, when we are throuh, your friend will have much firmer glutteral muscles and sculpted pectorial region."

"Dats right Franz, when we are finished, your friend will look like Ah-nolds twin brother!"

GMKC

THANX FOR THE INFO. What kind of pliers arethose on theright in the first two pics. The one that looks like it has a little wheel on it. IS THAT YOUR FAMOUS TWEAK TOOL. if so, remember i told you before you had to advertise it with pictures. This is the first time im seeing that kind of plier up close. I have 2 diiferent flat nose pliers, they work decent. Please give myelf and the ef world a little more history on them.

1) Has your team performed quite well using these pliers ?

2) although the style im playiing does not require strength, are your bases really strong ?

3) are you bases really fast ?

Thanx for putting up the nice pics !!!1

The Blues come with a warranty....

They are stainless steel with a foam handle to prevent callous. The lil teals are excellent frosty friends...thin and consistant. They are perfect for 1 prong at a time tweaking rookie and speed TTC tweaking. The blues are sweet for power and getting a solid flat smash on PL bases...be it back prongs or the infamous PL 1st Run front dialsthmbsp$ The rest of the info is in the trading forumthmbsp$ Thanks Drefrstplc

GMKC Pliers

Just wanted to say as a relatively new tweaker, I find GMKC's pliers to be the most comfortable and give the best results for me.

I get a better feel w/them, I believe it's because they appear to be polished or chromed.

Norbert, do u get your results w/Sears pliers one prong at a time? Do you use a candle warmer on the "new" prolines? Some do, some don't...

Open for any tips from anyone when it comes to tweaking for strength or speed, elusive receivers, etc...I am always looking to get better at it and try all the different techniques across the tweaker community.

I have been told I'm doing pretty good at it and my bases always seem to "hang in there", however, Just lookin to get to the next level.

I certainly need to learn how to use them better as well, particularly my line working together as a whole as I have witnessed from Joel_P, James Shealy and others as they can open up lanes for running and throwing very consistently...

Thx,

Joe Ram

Affects On Base

Keep in mind that customized figures can have a tremendous affect on tweaked bases. That means figures whose weight is more to the front of the base can cause tweaked front prongs to bounce the figure or collapse altogether. Figures that are in a customized lean can cause looping bases to loop too hard.

So before you customize a base and a figure to work together, make sure you know what you want from the base and the figure.

This is the best information on this thread. I would stongly suggest you tweak the base to the man and don't give up until you are done. How could anyone not know about Karim's tweak tool.

Humbling Experience

Yesterday I over tweaked a base. After getting the base to run like the wind, I tried to get some strength from it because all it was was fast. I squeezed the front prongs again only to render the base useless. The base won't even support a Haiti Repro WR. This is probably one of the few times that I have pushed the envelope and failed. It was a humbling experience.

I am saying this to say be careful to not try and get more from the base than what it is giving you because you can ruin a potentially good base.

GREAT INFORMATION.

There have been countless times i would twak a base for a player and it just does not work ot. Then stick that same player on a previously tweaked base for someone else and he runs 100 yards to the house. IT IS VERY TRUE ABOUT THE PLAYER/BASE MARRIAGE. iT'S AMAZING HOW DIFFERENT THEY PERFORM ON DIFERENT BASES.

What's perfection foe that player. When do you know, ok, that's enough.
like electric coach said, sometimes you push the envelope lookng for more when you already have enough.

can a junk base be ressurected and brought back from the dead. ARE DAMAGED PRONGS FIXABLE THROUGH SNIPPING AND RETWEAKING ?

OR

THAT'S IT

PS/ONE OTHER QUESTION.

Do you guys take the back prongs off TTC bases sometimes ? I got some bases from geno with itz dials on them. I noticed there where no back prongs on the base. Just the prongs on the dial. The bases run superb. Does the back prongs in this case hamper performance ?

I cannot believe this is the first time this has happened to you:confused:   it happens all the time when tweaking...may not be a lot, but it does happen.

I will say this, if you are tweaking for strenth but find speed - Don't over tweak the base, use the speed for another players and get another base and start all over again.

young tweakologist need to understand that you have to treat each base as a single item. what will get that base running may not work exactly on the second base from the same bag!!!

also, I have these recommendations for the young tweakologist to use:

1 - purchase at least 5 bases from the masters (don't just get 5 Hulk bases and think your on easy street) you need these bases for (a) to test your tweaking skills; (b) to have talent in case you never achive what you want

2 - gather up all the tweaking training info you can find and have it on hand when you go back into the lab.

3 - place bases on your team with their positions in mind. If the bases do not run on that player, just change the players.

4 - practice your new team and use all of the plays you like to run, work on your schemes, etc until you are happy with where you have the talent.

5 - don't be afaid to make changes. your DB is strong but slow, you may need to change him out for a player that can run; or a OLB that is fast but not consistant on his arc...rb can ru n to the right but has trouble going to the left...is that a starter or sub??? These are all the questions you need to find the answers to while you are in the lab and before you hit the field on Game day!!

you have to develope the understanding (after many hours of tweaking) of when you have reached the "sweet spot" of that base. if you don't tweak a base to the ultimate, you can always come base and do some minor stuff to a base later.

you can ressurect a base if it has not damaged beyound repair. you can use fire to reshape a worn prong

Knowing When To Stop

No it was not the first time that I over tweaked a base. It's usually rare that I do this to a base. Most of the time, I know when to stop tweaking a particular base. This was a rare occassion for me. Thanks for reenforcing the tips for me. Sometimes we need to be checked from time-to-time.

ELECTRIC COACH: HERE'S SECRET #111.

Put that base (or all your overtweaked bases) in an icecube tray, fill it halfway with water, put one drop of vanilla extract in each cube and freeze for 3 days. Pop a few cubes in a glass of Crown or Hennessy (any dark liquor will do) and enjoy the drink while they melt. Rinse off and let them dry prongside down on a clean cotton towel. After that, the overtweaked prongs should not only smell good and taste good, they should be able to hold their weight again. Don't ask, don't tell. thmbsp$
