Yes, this is my first field. I'm still adjusting it. It has great power. Nice to have a board wher you can show your work.

Very nice, Pit! How's it run? What are the measurements of your field? It is a good looking field, you should be proud.

Nice work , I have to give it to you that is a good looking board ! Well done !:D

RavennaAl 05-20-2007 10:21 AM

Simply beautiful. Did you design it all yourself or did you get the blueprints from elsewhere?

pit couture 05-20-2007 11:52 AM

The field

It runs great. I'm in the process of tuning it to my liking. There is four motor. I use the material from Radio Shack or La Source here in Quebec. I used advice from Jerry Mcgee but I desing the playing field. I used car strip for the lines and self adesive avery paper for the hash marks. I use the software excel to print thr right spacing for the hash mark. I cut the paper and apply it on the board.

Now I will play with it. My next project is to build a monster board and use decal paper to customize it. Thank you for the positive comments.

Sweet!

I thought you were gonna do a CFL field 1st, but that's not bad for your 1st try. Outstanding.

Speaking of the CFL, any pics of MF teams?

pit couture 05-20-2007 09:16 PM

Cfl

CFL is my next project.

Nice Work!

How many people in Quebec City do you play with? Just curious, I don't know much about the CFL.

pit couture 05-22-2007 11:59 AM

Quebec

Actually I don't live in Quebec City. I live in Chicoutimi which is 2 hours north of Quebec city. I'm all alone. Electric football is unknown around here. I'm starting to introduce friends and relatives to the game. The CFL football is played on longer and larger field and has three downs instead of four. There are 12 men playing on offense and defence.

If you use car stripe and avery paper then how do you get the players to run over them? You probably have to use a coating of some kind.

batman 05-22-2007 02:14 PM

excellent job

It looks great and can't wait to see the CFL.

First of all I paint the surface completaly white. I let it dry. I then make the lines and numbers with car stripe and avery self-adhesive paper. when it is done, I paint the field in green. Once the paint is dry I remove the car stripe and avery paper and there you go. You finish it with a clear coat.

And...

...the goalposts are on the Goalline like the olden days!!! That makes EPs pretty tricky. :D

I'm going to make some out of wood. Actually they stand on a magnet and can be place anywhere. They are on the outside of the end zone
