Has anyone ever tried to fly with their board??

I want to bring a Rose Bowl size board to Miggle so I can tweak in my room. Only problem is I'm flying in. Has anyone ever tried to take their board on a flight, or maybe check it in? If so how did you pull it off?

i have not tried it, but i would double or triple box it, and put "fragile" on all edges and both sides.

Boards

I also can bring a few extra metal boards, just let me know.

I think it would be great if you guys could pack in a few extras for us out of towners. Last year I just kind of showed up after rediscovering the hobby about 1 month before the convention and Joe was nice enough to show me some tweaking tricks on his Michigan Board. I think I went like 3-5 in the tournament.

This year I'd like to try to be a little more competitive and see if I have learned anything from the masters. LOL

I plan on buying some of the new convention bases and pro lines and see how they tweak up. :D

Geno,

Cool, I've been wanting to try out your kickers and qb's. If I can get the feel of it, we may have to do some business.

I flew home

last year with the rose bowl with no problems. I will be flying it back this year. This is not my game or league board so if it gets dinged up that's okay with me.

Don't ever try to fly with your boards. First of all, you can't get much lift with them. Secondly, they'll chafe your underarms. And third, no matter how tight you have them secured around your arms, the cords have a way of coming loose and hanging down and getting tangled in the tree tops causing you to crash. So take a plane instead and save yourself some grief. ;)
