Here are some pics from the Championship game. The last 3 or 4 pics are from the last play where Norbert needed to go about 50 yards to win. He had two options as I circled in one of the photos. He went for the longer option near the end zone.

Butch scored on his first possesion after a short kick on the kick off that he returned to the 25 then eventually passed his way into the endzone. Norbert took the next kick off to the house but on the two point try came up just short. The second half was back and forth. Butch even blocked a punt at the 17 but Norbert held strong to give himself one last try to score with about 4 minutes left. He was able to run about 4 plays but couldn't get in FG range or put it into the endzone.

For those of you who couldn't make it the Crystal Trophy was outstanding!!

Great report! Norbert needs to join the Joe Greco bridesmaids club. :D Congratulations to all the coaches and to Norbert and Butch! These are two great guys and to have them in the final must of made for an exciting game! Butch has been knocking at the door and now he can take that shiny ring back to his high school team and give them the "This is what we play for" speech!

I really enjoyed myself guys. Everyone showed class and had a great time. I like to thank all my coaches from the DSMFL who came to miggle and represented our region . Miggle staff great tournament but please if you have one next year. Bring it a little closer to the south because right now, I need another three days to recover.

Guys if you dont know this guy, he is a class act. I watched him all weekend, the way he played the he carried himself. This guy is one of the most humble people in this hobby i've every come in contact with. And your partner Joel is not to bad himself. Congrats on a great victory.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me to play with your extra squad. Ironically, we wound up playing a tight quarterfinala and to be quite honest after the game I wanted you to win it all.

Here are two guys, Joel P, and yourself, who are the classiest, humblest, helpful, and dignified people I ever met in this hobby. Truly REAL!

That defense is truly awesome, you don't get many chances. When I watched your offensive scheme in the championship game I pretty much knew early on that it was your day.

Norb, as always, you will definitely be back. You have been there four times already and I truly look forward to rolling your name off as champion again. Keep doing what you do. Class with a captital "C"/

You guys missed one helluva convention and game.

I knew when we left your house on friday morning you were as ready as anyone to win Miggle.
I thought I had a good chance, but I know from PLENTY of games between us that you are one of the most challenging coaches to stop on offense.
I enjoyed our trip together and we had goals set and we accomplished them.thmbsp$ Just like when we went to Bama Blast last year.
I look foward to going to many more tournaments in the future with you but with alittle different outcome. Me being the champion of course instead of you.:rtfl: All kidding aside it couldnt happen to a nicer and harder working coach in this hobby as yourself.

First of all, I would like to say this is a tough format to win because of the ~48 very solid coaches spread out across 7 conferences. The 4-play regular season games (in conference) allows almost anything to happen so MY HATS OFF TO THE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS! to make it to the super bowl is even more impressive.

Butch- Great job winning! I was especially impressed with the way your defense got to the QB in that championship game!

Norbert- You are a perenial power in the Miggle tournament and if there was a "coaches poll" I would have you ranked #1 going into next year's Miggle tournament (I know you will be back).

Thanks for a great show in the Miggle super bowl!
