Iron Eagle 10-27-2010 10:58 PM

Dre,

I thought Reggie was playing as Tennesee representing the SEC. I am just asking because I really wanted to be LSU representing the SEC but I selected Texas and the Big Twelve because I thought the SEC was gone.

mantaraydre 10-28-2010 12:03 AM

Iron e

Hey iron,

For primary home teams and conferences are soley picked on a first come first serve basis. Did you read my post on the other thread regard the bowl layout plan. Meaning coaches had to pick a secondary team.

You will now represent L S U in the sec as your primary. Your secondary team will be texas in the big 12.

Thanx
Mantarayde

By the way, I believe I'll buy some blanks figs and make all the solitaire teams of my conference. I had so much fun building these "classic" teams I want more ! :D

RooMorgans 11-16-2010 03:44 PM

I'm actually going to make all the teams in my two conferences, along with a couple extras, and while only required to play the games of my two teams (James Madison and Evansville), I'm going to play a full season with both conferences as sort of a Division I-AA complement to the ECFA Division I-A league I already operate.

My conference currently has LSU, Texas, Miami, Ohio State, Purdue and Oklahoma. How may more teams do I need to fill out my schedule?

Idea for Parity

I have been giving this alot of thought. If we played all of our games for 2 teams in our conferences we really could do a reasonable ranking system. We would play all of our games with our own rules but I think we may need a common denominator to tie all the teams together. Since our rules are all different the one thing we could do to keep the competition level across the board is to play our teams on the same type of bases. I know this may be a tough thing for everyone to agree on but it could work. Then at the end we could possibly pass our teams around to play the various bowl games and determine a National Champion. If we can't all agree on a base we could possibly split the leagues into seperate catagories such as. An all standard miggle untweaked speed base division ( this is what I use), An all TTC base division, An all diamond base division..etc

These are just some thoughts and suggestions. I don't mean to rock the boat. I just had an idea to share.

Mike

RooMorgans 01-07-2011 11:35 PM

I don't necessarily disagree with the idea. Not sure what kind of bases I'm going to use yet. Likely Miggle bases color coded to their particular teams. I will probably use a mix of TTC and Rookie bases, but they will be tweaked in as much as I want to make sure they run. I don't really pay attention to making the TTCs strong - whatever they bring to the table, that's what it is.

ROW SHOW CHANGE

COACHES,

I have decided to keep everything in new york

I will represent

1) HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY ( PRIMARY TEAM)

2)COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY (SECONDARY TEAM)

I will assign your bowl game closest to your geographic location.
Remember, its up to you to get both of your teams to the championship game.

1)columbia university vs hofstra university in the ( PIN STRIPE BOWL)
Game will be played in the new yankee stadium.

further names coming shortly

What Dre...

no Fordham Rams??

Lombardi and the other blocks of granite.

Coach Sleepy Jim Crowley.

the french guy 01-27-2011 04:56 AM

By the way, what is the dead line to start ?

I took a lot of delay on my teams projects. In fact I did not touch anything in MF since middle december 2010.

I cleaned up all my mess on my project table towork on it ASAP, but I need a deadline to make my schedule.

mantaraydre 01-27-2011 01:07 PM

FRENCH

FRENCH,

Realistically, with so much else going on, think early april will be a good starting date. Im holding back somewhat but the promotion will be fast and furious once i start the process. So everyone has time to take care of whatever they need to.

mantaraydre

the french guy 01-28-2011 05:29 AM

OK, it's good for me, considering my current schedule.

RooMorgans 01-28-2011 08:20 AM

April works for me. I'm going to need most of March to get my squads together (I'm painting every team in both my conferences - but just 11 guys so it shouldn't be too bad).

Drk 02-02-2011 07:31 AM

Thanks......

I'm pretty excited about this. I've been following the post for a while now and finally couldn't hold off the urge for something bigger than my own solitaire league. Since I can't travel this is perfect.

Good to see my hats up on the Row already. What's the helmet above the Gophers? It's hard to tell the color. Syracuse, Noter Dame, or ??????

As I said I'll keep my league small for this first go at it; in order to keep costs down. I'll probably end up doing 11 player iron man teams. So, with that said, if you know of any teams available, for a fair price, let me know. Otherwise I'll probably just buy Miggle big men.

I already have a BYU squad on loan from MplsTom so I need the Gophers and 4-6 other teams for my conferance teams.

Let the Row Show Rollltsplbll

mantaraydre 02-02-2011 12:15 PM

it would be nice

coaches,

For a beginning league, it would be nice to get 10 coaches = 20 helmets

10 bowl games

That would be cool. I like the fact that a league can be formed for any miniature coach to play in, no matter WHERE HE LIVES IN THE WORLD.
So coaches in the military on leave in another country can still play in a league. Also, coaches who live in isolated areas who find it hard to travel. Die hard football fans who are not american but love the sport from abroad.

Everyone can be part of an organized league right from their homes.

Thanx to all coaches who have an interest in this project,

**A PRO LEAGUE JUST MAY BE COMING THIS FALL !!!!!!!

I'm seeing LSU directly above Minnesota. I think the one you are talking about, to its right, is Notre Dame.

On my laptop LSU is above and to the left of MN. The one right above MN looks to be ND or I though maybe Syracuse. Can't tell if it's orange or gold.

Can the team and coach be listed under each helmet on the Row Show?
