I asked this question a few years ago. Now that we have many more people in our community. I will ask again. How did you come up with your chatboard nickname and what is the meaning behind it ? mantaraydre, I always loved the grace of the stingray as it swims about in the ocean. Everyone calls me dre, EVEN THE ELDERLY, i put 2 and 2 together and the legend was born. lol. Back then i was MICHAEL DOWNS (kinda miss that name too, sorta like my Bizarro world Scott).
Michael Downs is one of my favorite Dallas Cowboys. Played FS in the 80's. I change to HOOP cause everyone was calling me Mike and i wouldnt respond cause i didnt know they were talking to me. Hoop is what everyone calls me anyway. Funny, i remember being a little boy and hearing everyone call my dad Hoop, all the time. Shane (Hoop27), do you have the same experience? |

this is the name of my future company (which is registred since a couple of weeks ago) which i wished to be functionnal for end 2011-beginning 2012 and my goal is to be a table top games resellers for the province of Quebec as well as all across Canada and some parts in New England (North East USA). I also, want to be a conceptor of my custom hockay game (more to come very soon)
My objective is to sell table hockey games (Stiga), MF football games as well as Subbuteo table soccer (superfooty or Total Soccer) as well as some extras (like MF products, table top agmes teams, etc..) That's it Benster from north of the border |

I used to be a competitive swing dancer. I went to the Canadian championships for a few years ( won some trophies). Anyway the style of dance that I do is called the 'Lindyhop, so the dancers are 'lindyhoppers'
The 49 was a necessity on another forum that I used to be on...then it sorta is my online name so I kept it for simplicity. (side note... People always want to group me as a 'hooper' there are several...please note that it is 'hopper' like a grasshopper...) Check out some lindyhop on YouTube max pitruzella and Annie Trudeau are pretty awesome, they do lots of aerials. Dancing just isn't dancing unless you can throw a girl over your head! |

I Dj'd and battled Dj's from Cosmic Kev (Philly), Dj Scratch(Brooklyn), DJ Cool V(Bis Markie's Dj/Cousin, to DJ Cheese (Plainfield, NJ), to Dj Jay Walk (NJ), etc..I used to DJ at halftime at the football/Basketball games, and parties. Battled every Dj in my town and gained respect. One day we went to a talent show and I had no car to get the 1200's turntables to the high school.. so I could cut n scratch...:) those days(no car:mad: )..focus:D The girls, the days, I was given them Private DJ lessons:D Focus..I got to the talent show and there was a band..yes a band...the people started say..mntwrth: mntwrth: mntwrth: "KC".."KC"..KC" so I had to do something..heck I was rocking a RunDMC black leather getup so...I walk up to the stage, humbly asked the drummer.."may I?" and he handed me the drum sticks(now I had beat on cans and walls but never real drums:eek: ) I grabbed the sticks and started play "Big Beat" By The Great Billy Squier and the crowd went crazy..they started chanting.. "GrandMaster KC".."GrandMaster KC" mntwrth: mntwrth: mntwrth: mntwrth: mntwrth: mntwrth: and at parties they started saying and making posters with the music provided by "The DJ GrandMaster KC" and the name just stayed...my chic stock went up by 100%..but only one girl got my heart my sweetheart and 4 children later, I just realized she never called me mrcflg: "DJ GrandMaster KC" :eek: I guess she realizes being my bay has it's privilegesppls$ ppls$ ppls$ ppls$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ and thats the whole truthe with all incriminatinglffng$ details left out:rtfl: wifey peeks over my shoulder often..but yes GMKC...those were the daysthmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ ps, I still DJ.frstplc

GrandmAster Caz, Grand Wizzard Theodore, man you already know Hoop..GM Flash...go youtube you can find DJ Cheese when he won the DMC Title....as a DJ but a fan I have to say my 2 favorites GrandMixer DST and DJ Cash Money....
