You are the coach:What would YOU do.
You can have 33 men on your roster which is the offense, defense & special teams. My question is what is your split. here is mine. There is no wrong or right answer just for fun & entertainment.Players can play both ways.(ironman).
6- lineman 8- recievers 4- covers 4- safetys 4- linbackers 5- backs QB,HB,RB 2- blitzers --------- 33 Geno H |
8 - LM
5 - WR 5 - CC 2 - S 3 - LB 5 - BACKS 5 - BLITZERS -Adrian- |
5 blitzers, yeah right. :D :D
I've played you. You got 20 blitzers on each side. and one Sam Adams looking dude that just holds up the middle. At least, that's what it seems like to play against it. :D Ed |
LM- 10
WR- 4 RB- 5 CC- 2 S- 2 LB- 4 Blitzers- 4 QB-2 Darrian |
Great thread topic Geno!
I pretty much suck at miniature football this year, but I'd give this topic my two cents worth.
Linemen: 8 (5 just for offense) Backs: 7 (3 quarterbacks to give you run-pass options) Receivers: 5 (all set up to run different routes) Cornerbacks: 5 (all lockdown-type guys) Linebackers/Safeties: 5 (speedy guys on ttc bases for zone coverages) Special teams: 3 (kickoff specialists like return speedsters & bullets to cover) |
Geno,
9- lineman 8- recievers 4- covers 2- safetys 6- linbackers 8- backs QB,HB,RB 10 - special teams 47 total |
Wally,
You can only have 33. Nice try;) Geno H |
My Choice
5-DL 5-LB's 3-DB 2-SS 6-OL 2-TE's 1-HB 1-RB 1-FB 4-WR's 1-QB 1-K 1-P |

8 - Linemen
6 - Tight Ends (3 different tweaks/base styles) 2 - Blitzers 4 - Linebackers 5 - Corners 2 - Safeties 3 - Running Backs 1 - Quarterback 2 - Wide Receivers I'd rather have a 40 man roster with no extra bases. |
since you asked........
here you go......
6-OL 1-QB 2-TE 4-WR 4-RB 5-DL 5-LB 6-DB  |
Always flexable skilled postions
5 OL
2 TE 3-RB 2-QB 4-WR 16--- offensive 6-DL 5-LB 6-DB 17 -----defesive 33 When playing one color offense and defense, it is much different then Offense Dark/Defense light in the area of special teams. That is in my opinion. So if I were building a team to play in both formats , I would have my extra bases reflect the need for speed on special teams. RS |
This Is Mine
2 Qb
5ol 4 Hb 1 Fb 4 Wr 2 Te 4 Dl 6 Lb 5 Db |
For Shootout rules with injuries and one base per player I'd stack my roster like this:
17 offense 2 QB (1 speed, 1 power) 3 RB (1 FB with blocking capabilities, 2 TB that combined in a pro set can use the entire field) 7 OL (need 2 lateral moving tackles or for west coast go 5 lateral and 2 TTC) 3 WR (1 break away speed + KR, 1 strong possesion guy, 1 speed/strengthcombo) 2 TE (1 blocking primary, 1 reciever oriented) 16 Defense 5 DL (3 strong run stoppers, 2 quicker pass rushers) 4 CB (2 speed, 2 strong) 3 S (1 rookie base, 2 TTC) 2 ILB (TTC versatile players) 2 OLB (loopers for additional pass rush) |
