I recently posted a thread saying we were going to play a paticular style of football for our new league. SORRY THAT I GOT AHEAD OF MYSELF BUT IM EXCITED ABOUT THIS. What really is going to take place is a vote on the style of play everyone is comfortable with. We can have a

MOZEEK AND WALLY JABS ARE THE OFFICIAL CO-COMMISIONERS OF THIS SAID VENTURE. I mantaray- dr will act as the promoter of the league. I will develop a logo and other various items for our exciting partnership

This lesgue will be extremely fun and exciting to play in, BUT, This also will be a no nonsense league. We want coaches who are students of the game and look foward to matching wit with other coaches ON THE FIELD ! The rules set will be followed to the letter, no changing of rules on the fly because someone did not understand something. Every coach will be given ample time to study this style of play in it's entirety. you will have jabs and zeek to handle any issues. We will contact the great reg rutledge for council on this style. You Went From We'll Reach Out, Were Doing The Great Jimbo Rules And Game Play, To Whose Going To Playing With What Team. The reason why we decided not to reach out to anyone is due to wanting a new and fresh league in the new york area. By begining a brand new venture, we thought it would be exciting and challenging to play a rule set/style that was established in texas. " THE DFW LEAGUE' . We realized the NYEFL is a well established veteran league that has it's way of doing things. We are not sure if your league is familiar with this style of play and we want the east to experience what texas and california does. We did not contact you because we wanted to make the annoucement and welcome coaches on the east to play miniature football with us. Your right, there was talk of a merger and we know your league would have wanted to incorporate some of your rules into what we are proposing. The DFW has a solid ruleset played in texas and california. These rules are not combined with any other rules whatsoever and we did not want to waver from that.

This decision was not intended as an oversight to you and any of the NYEFL. This league is open to whomever wants to play this style of football. It was not intended to be solely played by the NYEFL and our side of the house. We have many coaches interested from maryland to upstate ny. Many of these said coaches are familiar with the proposed style but have not yet been able to play it. That is what we are offering to them and all newcomers. Im sorry Some members of the NYEFL do not look favorable on this decision.
Our standings/divisions are going to fill up and we hope the members of the NYEFL want to take part in this league.

If you want to blame anyone blame me. I was the one the said I would reach out to you. So you can ask why not. The reason is that Mozeek, Dre and myself wanted to talk this over and look at all the options out there. Before we spoke to anyone. We were not able to all get together until this past Saturday. We had spoken to each other, but never were we all able to speak together all at the same time. Again that did not happen till this last Saturday. The one thing that we were all in favor on was taking an existing rules set and using it... verbatim. We looked at rule sets from around the country. And we ultimately chose the DFW rules. The reason being is that anyone joining the league would be on the same ground. New to the rules and new to setting up a team to those rules. We also felt that most leagues around the country are starting to up their player weight. And the DFW rules already had incorporated that. We also felt that it would help us prepare to to play in the TSO. And there would be some alaingment with LA and Vegas as well.

So please do not take with as me not respecting you or the NYEFL. Just so you know I was one of the orignal members. I helped write up the original rules. And the logo that sits on your web site is the one I designed.

So in an effort to keep the fellowship going please do not hold this against me. And more important to do not hold it against Mozeek or Dre.
