Cable Access Show

Has anyone ever thought about or even went as far as looking into what it would take to do a thirty minute miniature football show on a cable access channel? I think this could easily become a reality.

Bumping...YouTube is only going go so far, I am willing to help, especially being in the Los Angeles area, I would think this would be a possibility.

Like the idea Shabby, I figure if Run, Snoop and now Deon Sanders could have a show why not us. What is the plot/concept of this show?thmbsp$

Oh, heck I don't know. I never got that far in my clouded thinking last night. It's just that we have all seen those corny cable access shows on cooking, skateboarding, music, crafts, etc...A killer show on MF would be sweet. Get the MFCA out there, focus on the different leagues around the country, interviews, painting, history, collecting, decals, boards, plays, etc.. Kind of like a 30 minute live action issue of Tweak. I just thought about all the YouTube stuff we have been viewing, which lead me to view the LAEFL commercial again, which, inturn lead me to believe it could be done.
I mean with so much crap on TV today, come on, why is this hobby not getting regular air time, ya dig?

You here me knockin'?

Well let me in!

Thats a great idea, I could also be out on the grill doing it up EFL style:rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl:

Why not, we have two coaches giving strategy lessons and play demos and you grilling up some steaks off to the side in an MFCA apron and Chef's hat.

If this were possible- some basic ideas

find a second year audio/visual student at a junior college whos good at a/v production.
find a couple mom n pop business places willing to pay for 2 or 3 30 second commercials- like a pizza place or hobby shop or video store or something.

the Pittsburgh Steelers from what I understand put electric football scenarios on the stadium big screen from what I understand. could anyone contact them- the guys that actually do/did it- for help or understanding or networking in one way or another to find out some way to go about it?

from that point- funding

than theres the-shoot for the stars idea-

That guy who is a part owner of the New York Giants. He is a producer / writer if I am not mistaken.

you could make figures depicting Eli's scramble and Tyrees catch using well done NY Giants figures and send correspondance to him seeing if he would be sold on some idea involving another faction of NFL fans who love football , living vicariously through this game that depicts the real one he is involved in.

with your copy rights in hand of course.

It could be done, it would take considerable effort by more than a few people, but it could definitely be done.

I would love to see a game of the month kinda thing

I would love to see the best coaches from across the country in a Monday Night Football kinda deal, I was thinking if it could be sponsored
correctly, that it could be big, different styles could be used to keep it interesting, also the styles of play could be randomly selected so no coach would have an advantage over the other. also I listen to alot of sports Radio, one of my favorite hosts is JT the Brick and from time to time he has a very interesting guest come on his show, his name is Mr. C and he does a dead on imitation of the great Howard Cosell, I have never seen what he looks like but he sounds just like him to the letter, as soon as I heard him I said to myself it would be so cool if he could do the play by play for an EF/MF game. just throwing an idea into the circle.

it can happen.....

i like it..... it can happen. Look at the tournament circuit.

if you (coach "a") began the jouney into the curcuit by filming your efforts to get your team ready for the fight. detailing all the processes you go thru to get ready..... next the travel action (used as filler) then all the prelims and film all the way to the title....

next week, the next tournament .....

we can make 5-10 episodes of 10-20 coaches discussing the same journey but from their point of view.....

just soem thoughts.....

ram29jackson 02-27-2008 04:05 PM

I would say , thats going a bit far. You want to focus on gameplay to attract people. People going to tournaments or what ever are very secondary.

daghstrydr 02-27-2008 06:29 PM

Great thoughts K-Lo, as we all know each one of us has our own methods of getting ready for the big dance, I would love to watch/be a part of this.

Local Cable Access

Most local cable channels will air tapes submitted as long as they meet their rules and requirements. Certainly would be possible to put together a good promo and share with coaches around the country to air locally.
