What are the best looking electric football uniforms?

Just as the title says. What teams uniforms look the best on the electric football field?

THE PEOPLE'S CHAMP 01-22-2007 04:13 PM

I think...

Old school Bucs, contrary to the majorty opinion, I think the best uniform ever, not powder blue Chargers. Old School Patriots and Falcons also.

O-schemer 01-22-2007 04:24 PM

My vote would be for the Rams. If you go back into the early days of NFL/EFL relations, the Rams have always looked good. Runner up would probably be the Falcons.

When we were kids and had a ef league, one of my friends ran the old school bucs { new at the time} and they looked great on the board.

bigdawg43 01-22-2007 04:37 PM

The new Lions

look pretty sweet. I like the old bucs and pats too.

gerty 01-22-2007 04:51 PM

I think all teams that are nicely painted, decaled & detailed - including chinstraps & face masks ...look awesome on the board !

oh -- I'm finishing-up the "away" old-school Bucs right now, and I'm finding that their all-white uniforms also look pretty cool on the field & will post a pic once completed. Also like painted Giants in their current "old-style" home and away unis.

Rams, without a doubt. But they have to be painted, not decalled. Those decalled horns just don't look right. Line them up in a row and they're just awesome! And if that weinnie Ronnie had remembered to bring them to the Big 10 Tourney, I'ld have pics with their numbers on.

jeff 01-22-2007 05:36 PM

re

What yellow did you use for the yellow?

Decal Master 01-22-2007 07:15 PM

I would vote for the 1994 Dallas Cowboys.

Second, would be the old school red on tan SF 49ers.

A tie-breaker is the current Arizona Cardinals red on white.

RooMorgans 01-22-2007 08:40 PM

I know I'm biased a bit, but I'd honestly say the Steelers in the black jerseys. It's a great color scheme.

Beyond that - give me the '80s Broncos in orange; the Eagles in the Super Bowl XV green; and probably the Houston Oilers in dark.

NEW CASTLE HiTMEN 01-23-2007 07:08 AM

80's Broncos, Rams and Jets.

mozeek 01-23-2007 08:22 AM

There are a few teams that i am always in awe of.....the Old School Bucs.....Da'Bears...and the 70's - 80's versions of the Patriots and any William Travers fully decalled Team.....His anniversary Raiders(All Silver are SWWWWWEEEETTTT) and he has some anniversary Redskins that are also......SSSWWWWWEEEEEETTTTTT....but the Best Painted Team That i have seen so far in person.......Are some MIAMI DOLPHINS....THAT MR LARRY SHARPE Jr is working on........all the colors are dead on.......i will post pictures next time i see them.........

Yes the NFL has some purty uniforms but none compare to the beauty and ruggedness of the simple Mawashi (Sumo G String) Football in its finest form is played naked!! Since the NHFL didn't allow that, the next best thing was the Mawashi. My vote is for the Super Sumos for best uni!!
Nothing is as beautiful as the human body.:D

I would have thought you would have chosen the chiefs.
Nothing like a 300 lb man in a thong that says " lookin good ".

Tron1984 01-23-2007 09:53 AM

Let There Be The Old School Bucs!

I would have to vote hands down and no contest. The Old School Bucs are the best looking team on the board. If I could just learn to down load these pictures right I'd show you. You guys may have extended the BUCS season for just one more year? Retirement sounds good though. They've played hard!

gerty 01-23-2007 10:16 AM

Bucs

Hi -

With the old school Bucs being mentioned, thought I'd post a pic of their Home and Away unis that I've painted/detailed.........although I haven't applied the facemasks/chinstraps and finishing coats yet to the Away Figures.

Coach K-LO 01-23-2007 10:42 AM

where are the pictures of the voted squads

Wow, everyone is stating their favorite teams, but very few pictures.....

As for original tudor teams - I would say the 1970ish Falcons in red with white pants and 49ers with the tan pants and the Cowboys in blue w/blue-silver pants.....

As for current teams - most detailed teams look great!

gerty 01-23-2007 10:44 AM

Old School Bucs

One more - James Wilder follows the block of Paul Gruber.

LMAO Jeff... HEY.. Don't egg Wolf on...
We're just glad he doesn't show up to the EF game meetings dressed up like a Sumo.. :D

I do choose the Chiefs.. But that opinion is so biased......

Any team other than the Chiefs?
I really like Tampa Bay in their newer uni's with the Red and Pewter.

Non-NFL..
WLAF-Orlando Thunder

GUTTMANN 01-23-2007 02:05 PM

I would have to pick 2 teams myself.
First and foremost, the Bengals....When they changed the trend of how uniforms looked back in the 80's, came out with those Orange and Black, then the Broncos and others soon followed.
I like the old school Bucs myself. And as soon as I have MY own free time I'll do them. Which will be 2011 sometime. LOL
Mike

WallyJ 01-23-2007 03:28 PM

Wow... A lot of love for those old school Bucs. It wasn't that long ago everyone was glad to see them ditch those uni's.

As for good looking uni's the Rams (blue and yellow), Steelers (home or away), Power Blue (late70', early 80's) Oilers and any of the classic uni's.

jeff 01-23-2007 04:02 PM

re

I witnessed the Thunder in person when the played the Ohio Glory back in the day. Those unis are bright.

O-schemer 01-23-2007 04:32 PM

Man I had the Haiti Bucs in orange back in the early 80's, and the guys in the neighborhood wouldn't stop making fun of them. They called them puke orange, even though they played really well. I can't see the love for them?

Remember the original question? Are you guys talking EF or real uni's?

jeff 01-23-2007 04:43 PM

ef unis.

Hey, if we're allowed to have our other teams included, then I have to re-vote for my beloved Bozos. Nothing like the red, white and blue to get my heart pumping!:D Just my 2 cents

Best Looking Uniforms

I think that the green Miami Hurricanes jersey circa Willis McGahee is still probably my favorite looking jersey on the EF field. I have some but don't have pics handy. Here is a link to RaiderMike's Hurricanes in white jersey with green pants:

http://home.pacbell.net/efdecals/canes.jpg

Some other favorites:

Darren Jahamini's Cincinnati Bengals...newer jersey...really looks sweet.

Auburn Tigers...simple, yet really came out crisp. I've sold mine but had a pic on this site earlier.

I like the Michigan Wolverines (I've seen them live...Guttmann painted). Here's a link to RaiderMike's:
http://home.pacbell.net/efdecals/michigan.jpg

Also Terry Popham painted some Rams in the metallic that were pretty awesome.

Finally, the Super Bowl 49ers that CorEy had were very sweet.

Those are just some and I'm sure I'm forgetting some awesome ones.

OldSchool 01-23-2007 10:48 PM

Best looking EF uniforms...

I'm kind of partial to the Browns Dark & light with the orange pants.

I like the powder blue Chargers with either white or yellow pants.

and...

the Miami Dolphins in their alternate (midnight blue) jersey, and white pants.

Peace,

OldSchool

Wolf would scare children AND adults if he dressed as a Sumo

I agree with alot of the uniforms mentioned here already, but it's so hard to narrow it down. There are some really cool uniforms in football, and not just in the NFL either. Here's ten of my favorites:

1980 Philadelphia Eagles home green jersey, silver-grey pants
1979 Houston Oilers home light blue jersey, white pants
1978 Denver Broncos home orange jersey, white pants
1983 USFL Houston Gamblers home black jersey, silver-grey pants
2001 XFL Birmingham Bolts home purple jersey, white pants
2006 ArenaFootball San Jose Sabrecats green jersey uniform
1994 San Francisco 49ers "throwback" uniforms
1994 Dallas Cowboys "throwback" uniforms
1999 WorldLeague Barcelona Dragons green jersey uniforms
2005 ArenaFootball New York Dragons black jersey uniforms

San Jose Sabrecats all-green

Again, VERY cool scheme and LOVE the helmet emblems

OU fan 02-27-2007 05:30 PM

Remember this guy?

Houston Gamblers (USFL) QB Jim Kelly. I really liked the uniforms on this team.

OU fan 02-27-2007 05:33 PM

Arena FB anyone?

New York Dragons all-black uniforms. Simple, but bad-*ss

Now here's the best looking uni's of all time..

OU fan 02-27-2007 05:56 PM

I think I've seen a miniature version of those uniforms

OH YEAH, now I recall where.........in Kansas!

It's nice to look back in time and see the creativity teams have had.

OH YA... My color scheme was anything BUT original..
Just always liked those uni's..

If it hadn't been the neon green.. It would have been my same logo but with the white helmet-powder blue jersey-yellow pants like the old Chargers.

And ya gotta admit.. The Tornado Logo Wolf designed is superior to the Orlando Thunders clouds and lightning.

RavennaAl 02-27-2007 06:17 PM

Jeff, sorry I missed the question the first time around. I just used regular Testors yellow for the Rams

Michigan Joe 02-27-2007 06:22 PM

OU- best or worst?

I just wanna make sure we're talking about the BEST uniforms.

To each there own...:)
