Here is an idea...

I saw this when I was shopping for furniture the other day on line. It is a foosball coffee table...how cool would it be to have a miniature football coffee table...yes...you guessed it...I am going to build one! Any ideas from anyone? I could make the glass part into a clear dome...aka Texas Stadium...It would also be cool to have the stadium around the field. I am half tempted to buy this one...leave the stadium on the inside and put a field in it....

Any thoughts anyone?

Excellent

Silver Horse,

That is an excellent idea. The table looks like a stadium. When your done post some pictures. I always wanted to set a playing field inside of a pool table. The outter edges of the table would be the sidelines. I dont have the space to accommodate a pool table. I ain't about to give up the big DLP TV.

table stadium idea

That is way cool. I am a cabinet maker / woodworker by trade. I work for a company that does museum exhibts and trade show booths and exhibits. We do a lot of out of the ordinary stuff not just your average cabinetry.

Shoot me some ideas and maybe I can help you with figuring out how to build it and what materials to use.

Thanks,
Chris

Both a coffee table and a foosball table, this Offside Foosball table is just the thing for millionaire former dot com employees to re-live their happy days in the office. The $7600 table has a glass top, a mirrored foosball field and is hand-crafted by Howard Bushell in Worcestershire, England. Classy and tacky all at the same time. [Drinkstuff via Uncrate]
We can build our own for 2% of that cost!!! Stinkin' Brits trying to sell us their crappy wood!!! :rtfl:

...THAT THIS IS A $7600 GAMETABLE!?!?!?!?!?! We don't even wanna spend $15 for G-FORCE'S TDQ that will instantly improve everyone's Passing game and ya'll are going goo-goo-ga-ga over an almost EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLAR Donald-Trump-and-Oprah-are-the-only-people-on-the-planet-that-can-afford-it piece of art deco. mgngcrz mgngcrz mgngcrz

$7600.00!!!!?????!!!!!!
from what i can tell, it's just oak. they didn't even take the time to make the corners look nice, just left the edges exposed threw in a couple of bolts. big deal! it's not that hard to cut wood at 45 degrees and glue it and brace it. for $7600.00, that would definitely be on my list of expectations, along with a more exotic wood. i'm willing to bet that the players are the cheap, plastic faceless ones too.

this was one of the replies from the website forum.

"That's pretty sweet, but $7600?!? For that price, it should be filled with midgets controlled by cattle prods!"

:rtfl: :rtfl: ppls$ ppls$ :rtfl: :rtfl:

after looking at it on the website, i can see that they do not use the cheap plastic figures, rather thin wooden planks for players.

All right, now you're talking! When can tweak our cattle prods to get better performance out of the midgets.

Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are.

Oh, this is so politically incorrect, I am going to Hades in a hand basket.

Sorry!

Build it and they will come!

Jimbo...I used to build Grandfather clocks with my father that we used to sell for about $3500. If I can build those, I can build this...I did not look at the $7600 price tag...I am building it. Maybe I can rig it so crowd noise comes on when you set your cup down on it!

Hey, I will see you soon Jimbo! We can talk about it in person!
