Ohio State Pics

1 Attachment(s)
Here are some pics from a 70's Ohio State team that I am doing. They were always a favorite team of mine growing up.

The paint is RaiderMike's as well as the shoulder stripes and leg stripes. I used my printer to make some larger numbers that tie more into the "Griffin look" of the 70's. Also, added the shoelaces and cleat decals. I've been wanting to mess with trying a "one decal buckeye clump" and think I've got something decent here with the helmet hole on the decal as well.

Enjoy!

Tom

Those are sweet. I bet Archie would have a little tear in his eye if he saw it. Good work.

Those are quality, Tom, real quality.

Long, long way from the OSU team I think I messed around with for you some time ago in a galaxy far, far away. :)

Are you coming to Winterfest?

Tom,

What do you use for wrist bands?

GUTTMANN 01-29-2007 09:02 AM

Tom,
Great to see you finished them. You nailed the font size for the #'s for that uniform too. Great Job!!!!

Looking Good

WOW, those guys look HOTTTT!!!!! And I can't stand O-how-I-hate-O-HI-O!!! Hope to see Mr. Two-Time Heisman in Chicago at next January's Electric College Football Championships. Unfortunately NOBODY represented OSU this year, although we had 5 UMs!?! Actually, we didn't have a GOPHER team either, so grab Mike on your way!!! ;) Heck, rent a Greyhound and fill it up!!!

Wristbands

I have a couple decal white lines (depending on thickness). I double-print the white as to make it "pop".

I'm excited to play them...don't quite know when the next time is. It might be next January. I'm playing the Packers at Winterfest and I think I'd be strangled if I attended the DC College tourney (though I had an awesome time there) as my wife is turning 40 on that Friday.

OK, that does it.....you Minnesota guys

Rent a big van, load it up with as much electric football stuff as it'll hold, and get your artistic butts to Kansas City in April for the NHFL playoffs. I really need to have some awesome painters update a couple of my college teams, because there's no way on earth that I could ever do that nice of work.
Mike, I think you said you were coming down for the weekend of the championships, correct? Please drag Tom down to K.C. with you? I've heard great things about you guys from some Chiefs nut. And if Matt Miller could be persuaded to come down too, that'd be so cool. I hope we have a huge turnout that weekend. I'll be booking my room for K.C. after I talk to Wolf in a few days.

Terry,
I'll be there....bring what you need done or a list. I'll take care of you.

In the tradition of Raiderman....The pants and helmet color look just a shade to light. :D

Seriously, those Rock!!

This is awesome work! As a fellow Minneapolis guy, I'm hoping to meet you and Mike some day to see your work in person. Maybe some of the artistic talent will rub off on a rookie!

I just put some pictures of my own college team painting out on a thread, but after seeing yours, I realize mine aren't even in the same league! Excellent stuff!
