1st round of games are done, or almost done..
In the 4th quarter the Raymond Airohawks (Geno) lead the Tri-City Diesel (Terry) 24-0 Lance and his Caribbean Dolphins beat Flynt and the Raymond Boars 27-0. Kansas Bill and his Kansas Tornados scored a TD on the last play of regulation to take a 10-3 lead.. James hit an 80 yard, longest distance stick pass in overtime to make it a 10-9 contest.. James went for 2 and the win but came up short.. Tornados win 10-9. Robert Thomas had an unfortunate loss in the family.. His son in law was killed in a car accident this week and was not able to make the trip.. 2nd round games are RARE (Weirdwolf) vs. the Raymond Airohawks, Tri-City Diesel vs. Raymond Boars, and Caribbean Dolphins are underway against the Chase Vipers. |

The Raymond Airohawks and Caribbean Dolphins both moved to 2-0 with victories in their 2nd games in the Tornado Alley EFL..
The Dolphins beat the Chase Vipers 42-7 while the Airohawks got by the RARE 14-7. The Raymond Boars picked up a win with a late TD to beat the Tri-City Diesel 6-3. Records at this point Caribbean Dolphins 2-0 Raymond Airohawks 2-0 Kansas Tornados 1-0 Raymond Boars 1-1 RARE 0-1 Chase Vipers 0-2 Tri-City Diesel 0-2 |
Now I know why Wolf-boy named his team the Rare, because he rare-ly ever wins. :rtfl:
Thogh in my case, I guess I should name my team the Never. |

The brisket from Oklahoma Joe's and the homemade cheesecake (Bill should start a chessecake shop) was great, the games were greater, the TDK was greater then great (TDQ also), the new rules were greatest, the conversation was greaterestess and the fellowship was infinity great!
I had a great time! Bill did a great job hosting! The discussions and jokes were great...global warming, Bill! Who invented global warming anyway....LOL? Great photos will follow soon. The only thing that "grates"" on my nerves was Geno's amazingly great TD. :D Somebody tell me in a real NFL game, if a reciever with a catch is tiptoeing down the sideline and is falling out of bounds but both feet are inbounds and another player who was in the play but now out of bounds pushes the player straight up and allows him to achieve his balance resulting in a run for a TD....is that fair!?! :D That is essentially what happened as Geno's reciever was curving out of bounds and bumped the back of another players base who's front end was out of bounds and back end was in bounds and then curved in for a TD. It was an amazing play to watch. I was so sure his reciever was going out and had started to relax. It was a game changing moment. What a fun day! You could say it was GREAT! $br# $br# $br# $br# $br# $br# $br# |
:D :D :D IT WAS GREAT!!!!!!!

Awful.....simply awful
mtmstnks :(  mgngcrz The news of how the Diesel lost thier games came as a great big letdown back home in the Tri-City area. Internet blogs are steaming about the poor play, rotten coaching, and lack of an offense. Talk around the watercoolers on Monday was about possible coaching staff changes that need to take place, player trades, and an unusual lack of interest by fans. Ticket sales have slumped, and crowds for home games are at all-time lows. Rumor has it that the team VP of Football Operations has a news conference sometime this week.
I have faith in the old coach, and they have played better than thier record would indicate, and much better than last year, especially on defense. Outside of the first half against the defending league champion, they have played pretty decent. A missed tackle made here and there, a 3rd down conversion or two made, a sack or two NOT taken, a receiver making a catch, and the Diesel MAY have went home with a 3-1 record as opposed to 0-4. Work still needs to be done on the pass blocking, running back play, and special teams (especially kickoff blocking and downfield coverages), but the team played hard, 3 of the 4 games went down to the wire (4th quarter)...and 2 of them weren't decided until all the winning teams time-outs were used and the game time was expiring. G-Force TDK kickers were winning games all weekend, the Diesel kicker even went 3 of 4 on field goals, and 2 of 2 on extra points. thmbsp$ The atmosphere at Bill's on Friday night and Saturday was just crazy with fun, great food, and friendship. The Tornado Alley League guys are some of the best friends you could ever hope to meet. I can't wait until we meet up again for the rest of our league games. ppls$ |
