What Are Your Personal Thoughts On Being Part Of The Mfca And Its Chatboard

This chatboard and the mfca has been like a second home to myself and many of us. If you took a moment, we are all on here every single day. So ask yourself, what is the draw. I will tell you, we all love each other. Through the good times, the bad times, fights, praises, im better than you, no your not (LIFE HAS NOT BEEN BORING FROM THE DAY THIS SITE OPENED UP). Everybody needs somewhere to go and for us this is it. I have not noticed the NFL is not on tv at the moment due to this chatboard. THAT'S WHAT I CALL KEEPING YOUR MIND OCCUPIED!!!!!!!!! THANX TO ALL OF YOU FOR THE LAUGHS AND CRAFTS ENJOYED HERE.

One of my favorite moments
 

Is when I read one of your post talking about Geno's new QB, you unknowingly said one of the funniest things I have ever read on here.

HERE IT IS, it's more funny though when read along with the rest of your statements because it fits in perfect.


i was quite curious on how this little mechanism worked so i hitched it up to a situation. I sent Jacoby Jones (OUT OF LANE COLLEGE ) for a 20 and out and hit him so hard in the back i dont know if he's going to make it.

Besides having the Hobby in common
 

I love to come here for alot of reasons, the Hobby stuff of course is the common thread that binds us all, but the connection you make with people through the board, lets face it we arent able to see each other every day, so to keep that communication however minute is big, Now the MFCA I feel is a good thing it gives us a presence a face, since things are progressing well with it so far ill leave it there, but the ability to share ideas about the hobby and not about the Hobby is a blessing.

My 2 cents
 

For me it has made the world a smaller place. With this site everyone around this country can chat and post, thats what makes it special.
The advent of the internet itself has brought the world to everyones home.
I mean look, we can post pictures of our projects, post about stats, heck even post Youtube stuff, unreal.
I remember as a kid getting a Strat o matic (off subject) newsletter that told me about other leagues, their stats, who played etc. I thought at the time, wow, it cant get any better than this. But now it has!
For me this organization has introduced me back to the hobby/game that I loved as a kid. And has connected me with folks all over this country, not a day goes by when I dont check to see what is going on here. Plus, the more I post the higher ranking I can get-Hall of Fame baby frstplc
Keep up the great work to all that are involved.

What makes this site so great....all of you and what everyone brings to the table. It is for this reason that I hope we have all 158 members at the MFCA Convention in August. I know realistically that this is probably not going to happen, but if we get atleast half the members there, then I will be absolutely thrilled.

We are family...this is an event for all of us to enjoy...speaking of family...every family has that one cousin that is a bit different or a little crazy...Lynn has that covered in our MFCA family...good thing he is in charge! LOL lffng$

This site is fantastic! It's a great gathering spot for all that love MF. I love coming here and seeing what's going on in the various leagues out there and see what new creations that the other talented coaches come up with.

There are no low moments... the glass is half filled not half empty.

i can answer this question with a post i left about 3 weeks ago or so -


Just wanted to say thanks to all of you who participate in this hobby. you guys give me something to look forward to each day in the fashion of a moment of paradise in my hechted day. i have engaged in many aspects of the hobby - Collecting, Painting, Customizing figures and boards, as of recently; back to playing/coaching, and as soon as i check the mail today, i am sure i will be decalling teams now via Beenutt's efforts. it feels good and it is good. Many of you have been very nice people to talk to. whether a big "name" guy or otherwise, i have enjoyed and embraced the help and learning you guys have given me.
Just wanted to drop a universal shout out to all you guys on this Football Friday .

Really though, I have met some great people on this forum and then in person, they have helped me take my game to the next level.

I also enjoy the "spirited debates" on varioous topics we have. We are like one big dysfunctional family, but in the end we all manage to hold onto that common bond, the greatest hobby ever, miniature football.

In reality the forum was started by the efforts of Don Smith and Bryan Nutt. The MFCA came along after the forums inception and we asked to make it our official message board. It already had a good folowing and was an independent forum so it made a natural fit for the MFCA. It has been a good relationship ever since,

As a forum administrator and President of the MFCA it has been an interesting ride. I now find most of my free time either taking care of admin issues with the forum, making decisions on questionable posts and seeking better ways and ideas for the forum and the MFCA.

All in al it has been fun and exciting to see the numbers increase from about 40 users daily to an average of 140.

The highlight for me is the fact that people, more then in the past, are willing to be open to other ideas rather then the instant shootdown. There is still some of that but not nearly what there used to be and in talking to other hobby forum admins it goes on everywhere and in every hobby. Overall, others not familiar with miniature football are impressed with the way we handle ourselves compared to other hobbies forums. I know that may be hard to believe for some but I have seen far worse things happening on other web forums.

As far as low lights...threads that claim Dallas as Americas Team bum me out...:D Down Doomsday down..sit...sit...stay! Good Cowboy Fan...Good Cowboy Fan...here's a TO shaped chewey for you.

Guys gotta love this board....the fun we all have the bashing the pics we put up the videos and such,,,its more than just a chat board its a way of life and a outlet for our thoughts comments and just plain insanity
On a personal note...it helps keep my mind fresh and as much time as I spend at home keeps me from getting board...I enjoy most all the post I read...( even jeff's and 513 lol ) anyway it great to be an MFCA member

SOME DAYS ITS LIKE WATCHING "JERRY SPRINGER", AND SOME DAYS ITS LIKE WATCHING "LIKE IT IS w/GIL NOBLE". IT IS ENTERTAINING AND INFORMING. I ENJOY AND PREFER THE LATTER.

I am glad to be a member of this organization. This chat board is wonderful. Overall the MFCA has opened the doors for me to really express myself in regards to the hobby.
