Matt Culp makes the announcement to get ready to go to the Elk center for the Friday night dinner. Then get your butts back here for the MFCA HOF ceremony!!!

We met all the HOF super fans
 

at the Friday night dinner. The drinks were free. The prez of the PFUFA gave us a shout out during the dinner. We all stood up to a round of applause. They accepted us into the family. Wolf was the man. It's like being at a wedding, and knowing both sides family.
John Martin (JM) led the way. He knew the area like the back of his hand. We all followed him over and back! I rode in the back of Will Travers pimped out F-150. Baxter rode shotgun, I was in the back.
There was a very small parking spot. Adrian dared Will to try it.......... you can't squeeze in there! Will hits a button, activates the rear camera. The video comes up in the rear view mirror, the truck beeps when your close...........and in no time we were parked, and Will was looking like........ What!!!!?!ppls$ :rtfl:

The only picture I have from the dinner is with my 2 fav people. 49ers fans for life like myself. They made my trip extra special

The prez is at the podium again. He is handing out some awards. He gets so choked up, he almost joins the "There's no crying in MF club".

Since this MFCA started, Matt has had the pedal to the medal. In this world you have talkers, and you have doers. Matt is a doer in all CAPS!

That's basically what Wolfie was trying to say, but he was getting all caught up in the moment. Real good stuff tho! ppls$ :rtfl: ppls$ :rtfl:

Baxter got an award for being some great coach. He never beat me?????

Now Ray F is at the podium
 

Ray is the head of the HOF committee. His group did an outstanding job of getting all kinds of info on the 1st class of HOF. Not just MF stuff, but all kinds of stuff. There was a slide show being shown as Ray ran down all the facts that made these guys great in our hobby/sport.

Jimbo read a letter from Mr. Landsman himself

Mike Turner got up, and said a few words on the behalf of Dirk.

Buzzball owner, Mr. Diamond was the only member of this class to be present. He gave a great speech where he thanked everyone........ including yours truly for all the support thru the years.

I know what my fans are thinking............ no I didn't get this award. :rtfl:

Matt took the podium. This time it was the prez who got some props. Wolf had thought he gave out the president award to Matt, but Matt did him one better, and the president award to who else.................. the president! ppls$ ppls$ ppls$ ppls$ ppls$ ppls$ ppls$

Words can't describe the work and time these guys are putting in, and no salary. A labor of love they call it. I wonder what their wives call it?
Great job to both of you guys, you deserve it, and then some.

Don't forget Al D, he does an outstanding job as well. V.P. Willie "style" Travers is perfect for the job!

Now it's still Friday
 

All these pictures. I've been to the hotel, caught the end of the meeting. We drove over to the Elk center for the dinner with the super fans, had $2 drinks, back to the hotel for the awards. The MFCA HOF, and it's still only about 9pm.

After the awards............... Let the games begin!!!!!

I'm not even sure of the 2 games I have here were games that counted???

The action was hot and heavy. All styles of play were being tried out. I even got some of Jimbo's AFL flava. I was going to try Jimbo's custom rule set with mini backfield divider, but I only finished the 12th grade............... You needed a few courses of college to learn it! :rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl:
Whomever played, might as well conceded the victory to Jimbo!

We stopped for a few hours
 

to head over to the Stern Center for the Unitey Way kids event. This was the real reason we were all here. Everyone who donated items, thanks, they came in handy!!!!!!

Now I don't have any pictures from the Stern center, I was too busy running the passing and kicking skills for the kids. Jimbo did come over, and tag himself in so I could get some items from all the PFUFA people who were set up in the center. Some guys from the army was in the house as well.

Again, John Martin led us over to the stern center. This time I rode over with Ravenna Al............... nuff said!:rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl:

There was free sodas, and dogs for everyone. This is a great event.

I rode back with Al. Some coaches just went over to the HOF because it was getting close to the time for the enshrinement ceremony, it's close to the Stern center. The Hotel is about 25 mins away.

I made the ceremony late. Here are the photos from what I saw.

Sunday afternoon, Damon and his family is ready to head over to the HOF. He is heading back to Detroit after that. Mr. Nat'l tags along for the ride over.
I tell Mike Turner and Harvey to meet me at the HOF. I will catch a ride back to the hotel with them. Being Nat'l has it's bennies!!!!ppls$ ppls$

who's Dan? Well he's the parking Czar. This guy lives right next to the stadium. He rents out parking spaces for people attending the Hall, and/or game.

JM set all this tailgating stuff up. Beer, food, everything. He grilled, he did it all! ppls$ ppls$ ppls$ ppls$ Thanks big guy!

Wolf was in semi uni for the game. Even half dressed in the WW outfit he was a hit. Can I take a pic with you? Hi, can I take you picture? It was like walking with a star player!

I caught a ride over with Mark Francis. He drove me, wolf, and Dre. We tried to get beer, but Canton doesn't sell on Sundays???????? What up wit dat?

It's game time. The NFL's first game!

Halftime
 

Me and Wolf called it quits at halftime. Our backs were hurting, and our mouths were dry. The answer............ let's go back to Dan's house!

JM and his guys stayed, they didn't go to the game. I gave JM a call that we were heading back, he threw the grub back on the grill to warm. I got a lounge chair, me and wolf threw back a few more cold ones! I lighted a cigar, and we just chilled out.

Dan lives so close to the stadium that you can hear the crowd. Then we look at the tv to see what happened.

We stayed at Dan's til the game was over, and all the people who had parked at Dan's house had drove away. But Dan "The Parking Guru" makes sure they know where they are going, and he loves the returning customer!!! Dan doesn't know a thing about football........ He doesn't care who's going in.... who's playing........ He didn't even care for the beer and food.......... he only cares about the parking!!!!!:rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl: :rtfl:

I had to take a picture with the guy!!! He had me cracking up all night!!!
John, you have a great bunch of guys there dude.

Me, Wolf, and Dre caught a ride back to the hotel. It was very, very late!!!

It was a good thing I took a nap in the basement when we first got there. I had to wait for Frank Jacobs to get off the couch before I could catch some zzzzzzzzzzz's

Now it's Monday................
 

Me and Wolf are packing up. John, his kids, and big Frank Jacobs come to pick us up.

Frank gets his snow board. I check out of the hotel. Me and Wolf head over to JM's house.

You want to talk cigars??????????????? This is what you call a collection! He has just about every cigar invented............ even this twisted sister!?! :rtfl:

The 3 of us just hung out. JM took us to a couple of bars, we had the greatest time.

Just want to say thanks to John Martin for showing me, and all us out of towners a great, great time!!!ppls$ ppls$ ppls$ ppls$

If I was president of the MFCA I would appoint you official photographer of all MFCA events. Your photos were so much better than mine...could you make me a disk and mail it to me...We might just have to make a DVD! I need a new DVD to send out with mug orders anyway...with your photos and others we will have enough to create a good one.

If I set them too big, then they just stuck on the memory card, cause they are too big for this site. It takes forever to email them.

I'm glad you guys liked them. I tried to put some names in there for guys who weren't there. I still don't think everyone is seeing them. Can we put them on the main forum for a week?

I was up for hours doing this post, and there's only a few replies. Not fair!!!

I did forget to mention 2 funny things.

Damon (forU2hate) was upset that he won the contest!!!!! Well not upset that he won............ but couldn't understand how that plain fig got all the votes when he put all the work into his Hart........ Mike Hart that is. The fig was outstanding, but no one took much notice. Well at least you won!

The other thing was Joe Greco. Now if he didn't have to leave for Zack's injury, he would've been a lot closer, maybe even won. But he was distraught that he came in 3rd, and not 2nd! You see............ The Greco's make champions is his slogan. Being runner up in about 4 straight tourneys. You can even throw Zack in there as well. He was runner up..... somewhere???
Wolf double checked the scores, they were correct.
Joe was the man, next to da man, that was next to da man!!!

Corey, what a post!!! Now that's what I call passion. I know it had to take you hours to do because i was up hours just reading a having a blast checking everything out. The only thing I hated was that horrible picture of me in the hotel room.I have got to get back in the weight room.

It was a pleasure to do it, I hope everyone enjoys them, and get the feel of being there. I want to see more coaches at the 09 convention.

Tron, that means alot coming from you. I know you go thru most if not all the post on this board, and for you to rate mine as one of your favorites is an honor! I hope to see you at an MF event real soon.

I have been extremely busy since that weekend, and haven't had the time to get on as I would like. Sorry for being delayed in replying. Great post, nice picks recapping the entire weekend, thanks for taking the time to do that. Thx for the props, it was my pleasure helping out and assisting any who needed it. All the guys that came in town were great fun, hopefully we can have it back here again w/many more coaches in attendance. CorEy, the only thing I have to say about Dan Dan the Parking Man, is:

"When your tires hit the pavement its $20, if you leave your spot and come back, when your tires hit the pavement the second time its another $20"
