Post count
 

Not that it matters , but I have noticed over the last 3-4 weeks I have had my post count drop from 1700+ to whatever it is now . I believe it even dropped today ?
I am sure there is a sticky somewhere on this and I missed it.

We have a number of moderators who are working on the oldest posts and moving them to their correct catagories. They are also deleting posts that just say "call me" or PM me. I can't believe that you would have dropped over 300 posts though. I'll check with them to see what is happening. Your right though, post counts shouldn't make any difference to anyone and nothing is being deleted that has vauable or normal conversation.

I do alot of ttt and bumps on this board . Maybe it is time to contribute some.

Don't worry about the number. Just remember, it's the quality of posts that count, not the quantity. Of course, by that logic I should only have about 2 posts right now.... :rolleyes:

I've now noticed it too!! I went from almost 500 to....whatever it is now.

I wonder if as pages are dropped from the archive, so are the post counts??

If the new moderators are dropping the very first post in any given thread, then that wipes out EVERY post under it!!! I just noticed that OldSchool's "How Bout Dem Cowboys?" post is gone! Wassup with that???
That post had a TON of pics in it and now it's lost forever. :mad: Hopefully, the new mods don't have "permanent" delete access. :eek:

The only posts I have deleted have been old happy b-day posts, attention posts or what I call "Time essential" posts, meaning that the post was about a particular event being held at a particular time which has come and gone. For example, "Mid-Ohio League games this weekend Nov 19, 2007." Or Convention or tournament posts about who is going or where everyone is staying. But, I have not deleted any posts dealing with the outcomes of those events or anything that has pictures. Basically, I deleted posts that have no relevance anymore. The post Jimbo is referring to may have been moved, I have not moved many.
