Four Point Oh

Hey Fellow Hobbyists

Sorry bout the teaser post with no content.

I am doing some research for an upcoming Tweak article or perspective on the 4.0 weight standard. Don't hold back. Leave your personal feelings about
people on the back burner. I want to get at the core debate around this
trend to using heavier figures/bases and applied weight.

Please reply on this forum or PM me with your thoughts by Jan 3rd.

Some questions:

#1 - What compelling reasons do you see for moving above the defacto 3.2 or 3.3 gram weight standard?

#2 - Was there enough debate on this forum for moving beyond the above well-established weight standard for figure and base?

#3 - Do you believe that higher weighted figures mean that you must fully adopt the DFW Shootout rule set for your league or can the higher weight and figure standard be adapted to your current style of play? Or simply put - can the higher weight and rules that typically go with Four Point OH co-exist with your league rules?

#4 - Do you subconciously yearn for a simpler style of play using traditional Tudor Fab 5 poses and no additional weight beyond traditional bases and figures?

#5 - Do you believe that full adoption of the DFW/BAM rule set is a dramatic change from your current rule set or style of play? Or do you believe that some aspects (i.e., incorporating chance fumbles and turnovers) represent a change you can live with?

#6 - To what extent do the true innovators of the hobby influence your directional efforts in your league? Do you think that the manufacturers or innovators/artists have too much - about right - or not enough influence on the hobby?

Thank you in advance for your contribution. Please indicate if you wish that your comments for the article (if accepted) remain anonymous.
