A good mix up for your defense is to use zone blitzes.With ZB principals you can drop anybody.Think in the MPFL system with stoppages/magnets,you can leave an area open one stop and fill it the next.this may fool the offense and get you an easy pic.Also it may help you get a sack.Think replacement.you must replace a blitzer with a pass dropper.If you blitz in zone and do not replace you have an open spot.For example,let's say you run a dog(blitz) with your MLB,then just drop your nose back to cover the middle.Easy to do by just adj. the Nose's base.You can delay this by using a magnet on your LB's.Another would be to bring your SS and drop you OLB to the curl/flat area depending on your defense.With magnets you can delay this, also you get 5 of them as long as they are not used up front with your DL.The 3-3-5 and 44 stACK are great to scheme out of.Any types of defenses can utilize ZB's.Just remember to replace your blitzer.You maybe the next DC for the Blitzburgh Steelers--Hope this helps Practice/practice--STT
