An idea for the "Rookie Coach FAQ"?
 

Actually...this would be something useful to everybody...

Wouldn't it be cool if we had an online "dictionary" or "encyclopedia" of EF/MF terms and pics to go with them?

Something you could search and find a text definition and pics about?

Say you looked up "frosties"...then found a page that showed some pictures and an explanation of what a frostie is.

I am not up to speed on the tech requirements of something like this...but couldn't it be done in a "thread" or new "topic" that had limited access so that only "definition" pages were posted there? One "page" per term. Then you could search the thread for a term and get the results.

I know it would be a little difficult to manage (how to get items in there...how to make sure the info is accurate...keeping pic sizes reasonable...etc)...but if there was a way to get everybody to pitch in, I think it would help with bringing new coaches up to speed and it would allow veteran coaches expand their knowledge.

Anyway...I am guessing that this has been discussed before and I probably should have searched a little more before posting this...but on the chance that it hasn't been discussed much...what are your thoughts?

Ravenna Al is ready and willing to coordinate any effort for the rookies section. He is the lone wolf there right now. Hooper has also done alot in that forum. It is far from where we want it to be, but it requires very dedicated individuals to take on the task...they seem to be few and far between. We have all the capabilities to do this, just short on manpower. I would volunteer to take any photos and size them so that they are all the same and in good lighting.

Al is currently consolidating threads into single topics and eventually is going to turn each thread into an article on the subject with quotes and info included from the various posts.

ALL help would be greatly appreciated and accepted so consider yourself on the committee :D .
