I'm a Browns fan, and already I hate Mangini and the new GM. Trade down, trade down, then take a center. A center?!?!?! A center?!?!?! With all the holes we have in skill positions and good players available and we take a center? We trade down to 17 - available players - Clay Mathews, Jeremy Maclin, Hakeem Nicks, Beanie Wells, Laurinitis, Maualuga - and we take a center!!! Apparently the never-ending rebuilding process for this team is still on-going.

MANGENIOUS, IS A COORDINATOR NOT A HEAD COACH

Hey tomkat,

good luck with ERIC "MAN-GENIOUS". In NEW YORK he alway's had the look of what should he get from mcdonalds after the game instead of his game face. Your right, a CENTER ??? Watch he screw up up BRADY QUINN
Sorry cleveland friends, the suffering will begin shortly

I will take Percy Harvin for the Vikes. We need a receiver. I am just concerned with how different the Gators' offense is than the Vikings. I would have taken Hakeem Nicks, but I only watched one game of his and it was his best. I am also glad that Shonn Greene got drafted by the New York Jets. First pick in the third round. Didn't Marion Barber get drafted in like the third round? I just hope that he will play good there.

Pittsburgh doesn't stand a chance this year since they are in the same division as Cleveland. WE GOT US A CENTER!!!

We passed on Mauluagu. Man he was a perfect fit for a Steeler. I understand he doesnt fit a 3-4 scheme but how can you pass on him. To add insult to injury the Bengals picked him. Big Ben and the running backs better get ready. That LB is going to be a pain in our side for years! Man he was a perfect fit for a Steeler.

Dallas Fan here

And i have come to the conclusion that owners who act as GM's, thereby having final say over professional scouts - ARE JOKES!!! Dallas had Rashad Johnson and Brandon Tate on the board and passed, instead trading out of the 1st day all together. Well now, what did i go to this draft party for then?????? 11 second day picks. who needs 11 5th rounders on a team that is already talent rich?

BROWNS- Thats that whole PARCELLS/BELICHEAT/MANGENIOUS thing.
Start with trenches, specifically - CENTER. This guy they got though is very good. But this was actually a rich draft for that position, so they could have drafted another need and still got the center later.

HARVIN- Peter Warrick, Ronnie Harmon, Eric Metcalf, Reggie Bush. Those names come to mind. Some were successful, some not so much, one was a complete bust. But i think it comes down to coaching. If you have a football player, (as oppossed to a good athlete that plays football), with these skills, then it comes down to coaching. Childress has his work cut out for him to make Harvin work in his system.

BRONCOS- What are they doing? a team with no defense and other holes draft a RB??? they have Hillis, Young, Torrain (who is a good one!) and signed JJ Arington, Buckhalter and Lamont Jordan. So if you sign all of these guys in FAgency, why do you then draft an RB??? No direction. BUT, atleast this guy will do work. Knowshon is no joke, and should do very well, so you cant kill Denver tooo too much. Still, DEFENSE is what they needed.

NYG, PHILLY- got what they needed in the draft position wise, now lets see if they can contribute on the NFL level. I think they will. Dallas' path just got tougher.

WASH - JOKE! Arakpo was a great pick to team with Haynesworth, but they ********ed off there QB too many different times so they lost him. and the coach isnt experienced enough to manage this damage.

RAIDERS- Another owner/GM joke. Pass on Crabtree for BEY???? Willie Gualt, Nehemiah, Alexander Wright, Troy Williamson. What AL doesnt understand these days is, a speed guy will do nothing without the possession guy compliment. They dont have that. And its suspect as to what Heyward-Bey is anyway, a great athlete that can play football, or a football player!??

JETS - Sanchez. Puttin alot on a dude that only threw 400 passes. Great personality, but this dude is in NY now. Good Luck.

DETROIT - Will Culpepper mentor him? I dont know, but if i had to guess, i dont see it. Duante has wanted another shot a starting and running a team himself, and finally got it. So i dont see him helping to pass the reigns so easily. He aint in that Chad Pennington mind set just yet.

DALLAS- did i mention the owner/GM joke thing?

Good morning everyone, enjoy your day.

Scott

The Steelers have selected wise and added the depth they needed. Always smart, safe picks in what is as random as a lottery.

Maualuga's aggressiveness will be his fault, he's a hot head and has had character issues since his freshman year. Not the Steeler mold and too much USC-Hype.

Timmons is Foote's backup, Bruce Davis (last year's pick) will offer depth on the outside positions.

We're fine on defense.

The O-Line needs to stand-up, man-up, and eat up opposing lines.

I'm hoping Frank 'The Tank' Summers can play at the pro level and offer the team what they've been missing since Bettis retired, a short-yard bruiser back who eats clock.
