Game timing
We've been experimenting with using a digital clock to time the game. Clock is plugged into power strip, etc., and only runs when board is running.
PROBLEM: Finding an INEXPENSIVE digital clock with A/C that also displays seconds so you'll know when the quarter is about to end. With one that displays only hours/minutes you have no clue as to when the quarter is close to running out. Any suggestions? |
Our league plays for four quarters and each quarter lasts 20 minutes using a running clock. You can pick up a hand held timer at Target. You can set the timer for how many minutes or seconds that you want it to run. Just for your information this year we have included the 45 second clock in our rules. One coach will handle the game clock during the game and the other coach will be responsible for the 45 second clock. Hope this helps.

You can do this with a darkroom timer. Just plug your game into the darkroom timer and then control the on and off with the timer. You can start the game with any number of minute and seconds and it will count down only when the board is on.

Thanks!!! a bunch. I tried my old darkroom timers. One does only minutes and the one that does seconds resets every time. I've got to get the digital graLab like you have in the photo. GOOD LOOKING OUT!!!!
