What/How Old are these guys?
 

I just got 44 of these players in an ebay auction that had some other stuff I needed. From base to head they are almost 2" tall. Thanks

would be they are from a colleco football game that came out in the mid to early 60's

Or possibly Tudor in 1965.

late '64 til late '66. but some stores sold them long after if they still had any in stock. i doubt they produced many after the '67 Deluxe figures hit the market.

One and Three are Tudor around 65, the other two are Coleco, possibly early Munroe. I believe it was Coleco that was sued for copyright infringement so I would bet those are Coleco. Tudor combined these figures then scaled them down to almost the size of the 62-63 sets to come up with the 67 Deluxe figures. Those figures were scaled down slightly to the 69 figures (Hog Legs) which reset the guard figures feet to the rear of the base for more balance. Unfortunately, those perfect figures had a short life because of, you guessed it, money. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the info. So these are fairly common then and I shouldn't panic about painting them or letting the little guy play with them? etc etc.
