Heavier team in solitaire play
Coaches,
Do any of you add weight to your teams for solitaire play? I ask because after playing in two 4.0 leagues I have a hard time going back to anything less BUT is it worth it in solitaire play. I say yes. Also, at Miggle I saw where a coach added weight to Miggle rookie bases using a small nut (from nut and bolt) glued underneath. That base/figure combo ran very fast and smooth. I could never get that base to run that smooth on a big board at higher speeds by itself. Most leagues don't allow items like that placed under a base but would you guys use it in solitaire play? Your thoughts? |
I too enjoy solitarie, but you are right, on the bigger more powerful boards the light weight figures and bases do not work as well, they need weight.
Now I only play solitaire using unweighted stock teams on a vintage 620. Part of solitarie for me is getting back the feeling of playing as a kid again, something that my Field of Dreams or my 308 can't quite capture. Solitaire is a nostalgia thing for me. |
I hear you Shabby. thmbsp$
