How do you play solo?
 

I'm trying to understand how do one play solo electric football with knowing what the other team is doing? :confused:

some guys simulate both offence and defence.

Andre, many guys use offense or defense charts. They simply roll a pair of dice and see what play comes up on the chart and then use it. It's an easy way to let the little guys play without you showing favortism. In my case, I never know what I'm doing anyways, so the other team is going to be clueless whether I use a chart or not. mtmstnks mtmstnks mtmstnks mtmstnks mtmstnks

I just use basic defensive set ups depending where the ball is on the field. Basic 4-3-4 or 3-4-4 defenses between the red zones with man to man pass coverage. I use 5-4-2 from the 20 to the 5 and 7-2-2 inside the 5. Most of my solitaire play is geared to the offense anyway. There is no set way to play solitaire. Don't get bogged down in trying to make things even or fair for both teams. That will drive you nuts. Unless that's what you want to do.

Choose a way that you like and can enjoy and just have fun playing the game.

I use a small javascript program that automatically generates plays for both offense and defense.

I could post this for download....

If you have Excel on your computer I could do a version of it.

That sounds interesting. Im currently working on charts that go by Down, and yds to go. Percentile dice are rolled which determine the offensive play call, and the Defensive formation, including how many defenders are in zone coverage.

I've found that solo games can end up unfolding in very unexpected ways and have their own twists which you can't predict even if you are running both teams. I've experienced this in my solo tabletop baseball leagues and the series of experimental EF games I played last fall. Just play, and let the game flow as it will once you turn on the clicker. Let the situation dictate what decisions you make for both sides. And always accept the results of any play as final.
