CBSMF Idea...Attn: Jeff Eby and Reg Rutledge

Jeff and Reg...

I was thinking that this year we can do 2 DVD's. One DVD would be the CBSMF edited version of the footage just as Jeff did last year and another DVD would be the raw and uncut version of the entire event. Almost like a documentary. We can have a few different people with their camera (I will have mine) particpating and interacting the tournament like normal and Jeff could collage them together on a 2 or 3 set DVD series. It would be awesome. The DVD could have coaches interviews on it, inside private conversations being held by other coaches speaking on strategy or whatever it is and other awesome behind the scenes stuff.

Just an idea. Wanted to see what you thought.

Mike, you know you are the Spawn of...

me and I think that's a great idea!!!

Not only would something like that be memorable, but 10 years from now, it could be something special about the history of the game.

Now you are beginning to understand the "promotions" thing we talk about and the importance of giving back. I think that is another one of your outstanding ideas.

ok...

so now that I have your attention...Here is how I was thinking to break it down.

Assign a West coast coach to a camera, an east coast guy to one, a great lakes guy to one and I will take care of the camera for the south.

Jeff can figure out how to collage the 4 together and how to shrink the footage down. However, here is how it would work.

I would get up in the morning and have the camera rolling while I brush my teeth and talking to the camera. Going over my mental preparations verbally to the camera. Just as you would in a documentary. This same thing will be going on with the 3 other guys who are in charge of their documentary. A little recording at the airport, getting on and off the plane, picking up my road buddies who I will spend the most time with during the tournament, hotel check in, award ceremonies and all that other good stuff. This will be great! Anyone seen "hoop dreams"? Not that professionally done but along the same lines.

I think it can be pulled off.

We may need to collaborate more on the idea and get with a few guys that would volunteer to record their entire tournament experience and be willing to submit it to the cbsmf for the documentary.

This will be great!

Rookie...

quit ruining the moment! Although, its private talk they would see the camera in their face. Just behind the scenes stuff that wouldn't normally be caught in the edited version of the video.

Michael,
This is a awesome idea. thmbsp$
I think this would get younger coaches involved and bring this to a wider audience. Show some excitement of what goes into preparing for game day.

I can see Reggie has rubbed off on you just alittle bit. lffng$
P.S. Just dont let his singing rub off on you too much. :rtfl:
