Seeing the pics, I believe you made some sculpting : I see muscles and hands on some of the figures. I see a WR where muscles are not bad at all, by the way.

Concerning painting, you should first base your figure with some primer. Then, correct the sculpting defects the primer will reveal. Figure preparation is very important.


FInally, paint your figure. On some of them, I see some white behind the colors. It means you need to put another coat of paint. A common issue is to want to go too fast. You have to first focus on quality, then with experience, you will naturally go faster.


Proceed also by stages. What I mean, you have to first paint the deeper color, then go on the 2nd deepest, etc, etc... For example, first paint the skin, then the socks, then pants, then jerseys, and finish with helmets, gloves and shoes. You see what I mean ?


For what I often saw in miniature painting, the 2 most common issues are to not make a good preparation (wash the figure, sanding and correcting defects, make a good primer undercoat) and "rush the finish" on the figure plateform. If you don't prepare correctly the figure, you will limit yourself for the final result, no matter your painting skills. Same thing for the plateforms, a great painted figure on a poor plateform will ruin the effect.



What paint do you use ? What putty and tools ? Tools are important too.

It's a good start, and not everybody make the effort of trying advanced technics like sculpting. So please take it for constructive criticism thmbsp$

and of course, everything depands on what are your objectives : in miniature painting, we speak about "tabletop painting level" and "showcase painting level", it means perhaps you want to build huge roster the faster way, or you want to enjoy modelling. The two things are not incompatible, but if you want to improve your modelling skills, speed is not your best friend to learn thmbsp$

Keep at it. Where are you getting your poses from?? Mags, Internet, Live People, Video Games, Other threads, your imagination. You can look at others work and see what you like and dont like about their work. Take that insight and apply it to your stuffthmbsp$ . Just dont burn, cut, or poke yourself too many times!!!!!!!lffng$

hey did you see that fly reciever of yours in there? some of these are just from imagination others are hybrids of several different figures.:)
