Im ready for a scale size board, but im lost

Let me apologize upfront for asking this, because im sure it was asked before. Im looking for any of our members that can make a scale size board, and is able to ship it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Im ready for one of these bad boys to play on.

Give GrandmasterKC a pm. and see if he can give you some insight on it.

Or you could build your own. thmbsp$

this has been gone over before . A scale sized board is huge and might be very hard to ship . Now that being said I WANT ONE TOO !!!!!

Try Jerry Mcghee , I think he calls his field of dreams.
Someone posted pics of a scale sized board that he made. The thread can be found in the photo gallery section

It would be pricey to ship but not impossible. I know Fedex ships oversized table hockey games.

Gotta say if you don't like the price options building one isn't that hard!

I think Jerry made that Steelers board not too long ago, check with him and GrandmasterKC they can at least point you in the right direction.

Thanks

I did find out Jerry doesn't ship his boards. As far as building one on my own, I wouldn't know where to begin. Besides I'm so bad at anything mechanical, I would just screw it up anyway.

take a look at my thread in the rookie coach thread for building a monster/scale board.

I can't stress enough how little knowledge and skill we had putting it together.

Thanks Hoop

For pointing this out, and I read it, and realized it was loaded with information, yet I was totally lost after putting the frame together. That's because when dealing with constructing even the simplest of things, I'm dead from the neck up, and also all thumbs. That's a big reason why I don't make my own custom teams or anything. I prefer paying to have it done if the service is provided.

I'm going to try

I agree with you as, I have very limited carpentry or electric skills. However, I've read through hoop's post and the other build a board threads and I'm in the process of building my own. Just need to find the sheet metal (I'm in Germany). You should reconsider, I'm sure you could do itthmbsp$

I would love to

Feel the satisfaction of building my own board, creating my own teams, but I know how frustration sets in for me really fast, then anxiety hits. That's why I don't take on projects. Paying a $1000.00 or so for this board is fine with me because I get to keep my sanity, and I know it will get done right.

I would suggest to talk to the board makers and/or put up a post in the trading forum.

I'd offer to build another and ship it, but to be blunt I can't make anything of the visual quality that the "pros" do. As you can see from our thread it's a very basic setup.

I will also say it was handy to have someone with me in building it. Josh knew less than I did going into it, but it was nice to just have someone to yak with when we put it together. So if you do have a buddy that has some experience with tools it honestly wouldn't take you too long, and you may learn something! (Like Josh learned you need to drill a lead hole before trying to put a screw in :rtfl: )
