Mondays: Question of The Day: Integrity in Electric Football

Does it still exist? What must we do as an EF Family WorldWide to maintain it or get it back? How do you define it?

Easy. Get rid of the 'win at all costs guy'

It's great if you want to win every game (who doesn't) but the guy that is a 'donkey' about doing it turns off everyone.

Have fun. Play Hard. And drink lots of beer! :D thmbsp$

It is essential for a successful league.
Integrity is doing the right thing. The Golden Rule. if your runner gets tackled and the other coach did not see it , call it and tell him my guy was tackled.

Putting the betterment of the league above the betterment of the individual.

All that was said, and then some......

Go into every league game, fun game and EF MF EVENT with the appropriate attitude. And at this "stage" of the game, EF almost phased out of the mainstream, we should just feel lucky that we still have somebody to play the game with.

Then, act accordingly.

SHOW HIM YOU WERE ABLE TO RAN A CERTAIN PLAY AND HOW TO SOLVE IT, SO THE NEXT TIE YOU PLAY, IT WILL BE A EVEN BETTER GAME:)

IF HE'S A NUT,

good point, but that only applies to the new coach or young coach. More experienced coaches will not give up too many "trade" secerts because they may not feel they can overcome someone knowing their plays....

The difficulty of bringing more coaches into the fold, is because iof many things.

Here are my two main 'roadblocks' to advancement
- EF is 100% hands on
- lack of knowledge on EF & unwillingness to 'develop something from hand'

and of course the Video games.........

Intergrity.

Does not start on a board,
In a league,
Or during a game.

It starts at home,
teaching and mentoring kids,
then having to be the example.

People who can't keep their house together due to trust or neglect.
People who are always telling you about themselves and how they can be trusted.
People who point out the bad guy to you.
People who have children but find every reason to blame the other for not being able to see them.
People who feel they are nobody without being a winner in this game.
People who, once they have failed, find every reason to screw over one of their own because they want to be the first.
People who gang up on a good coach because they don't want them to win their league.
People who pile bases to your opponent because they don't like ya.
People who make rules to hinder others because they can't learn to adjust.

on and on and on

It starts with being unselfish,
then continuing to do in the face of those who do otherwise.

Integrity is not just the game, or the fellowship
because you can enjoy neither without it.

The correct word is trust.

You can't TRUST people to do the right thing.
You can't TRUST people to be honest in their dealings.
You can't TRUST people to own up to their mistakes.

Although you may be the only one in the room doing so.
When people see an injustice, speak up! Stop watching while knowing the truth. It perpetuates the madness.

Forget the cheaters. They are like drug addicts, alcoholics, pathelogical liars. They are so far in denial that they try to make you believe that you are the liar, or cheater, or theif.

Look yourself in the mirror. Know who you are. Don't become one of THEM!

And then there are the theives around here. That's worse.

Just my thoughts.

Great point Ken we as has vets who play this hobby must understand winning isn't everything. There always going to be a winner and a loser. But if winning at all cost is a priority to you. Than you need to step back and take a good look in the mirror. Because at the end of the day were talking about some plastic men.
