Whats up fellas, I dont post commentary very often, but do to the circumstances, theres no way i can sit back and watch great people destroy what so many of us have sacrificed and work so hard for,:( which is the pleasure of playing EF period. It dont matter if your playing with the latest custom team or red vs. yellow. The differences grew out of where your from that dictated how u played, so the ones up front pushing there particular flare for the game must recognize that EF is regional. Thats what makes it original,:) I love traveling seeing the different styles thats what makes it worth it for me being a customizer makes it possible. To even suggest that all the major leagues around the country play under the same rules, for what:confused:should we care that much about how people play, the simple fact is that there playin is enough.Any attemp to unify the rules should start with the major tournaments not the other way around.A national tournament is the best bet at this point, then take it from there.Stop wounding each other, no politics for me ive never written a rule book in my life. please respond peace.

Megawatts...

Bruce,

There's a lot of wisdom in your words, and your message has been received loud and clear. Thank you!

Peace,

Dang!

I didn't know you were so deep, Bruce! ;) Good stuff. I agree that MF should stay diverse with the 5 or 6 different styles throughout the country. That's what makes it interesting when you go to different parts and see their little twists and idiosynchrocies. No 2 leagues are the same. I think???

Very true, Megawatts

That's always been one of the great things about this hobby - the many ways to play this game!

I think Bruce is onto something here. I see it a little like the College Bowl vs. Playoffs argument.

Is having 1 National Champ what's driving this idea of an all under one roof convention? If that is it, I really think that will be difficult to pull off. There may never be 1 true champ in our hobby, is that okay? I think it is. Even now with the Miggle convention, the champ is not really considered the Champ of all miniature football. He is just the winner at the Miggle tournament. No disrespect, but since we don't all agree with the rules, he will never get his due.

As it is in College football, even with a playoff system, someone will always be left out. In March Madness, the 65th team always thinks they should be in.

I still like the idea of a National Convention, but let's make sure we do it for the right reasons. If it's to see who's #1, we should step back and take another look.

Excellent Thread.

Narional Tournament

Bruce,

Very well said. That's why I suggested taking a survey to see if this is really what people want. It will cut down on alot of frustrations for organizers.

Ive seen guys come up with ideas around the USA that I NEVER would have thought of...some were SO good that I use them today...and every now and then ill learn something new that ill put to use even today

i think its just the joy of lining up vs some else and turning on that switch..and win or lose you've gained a friend
