I'm going to the Steagles game Sunday but will not have any pictures to show, we don't have a small snap-and-run camera unfortunately, only my wife's beast Nikon which she won't take:rolleyes: , ah well, more beer clouded memories...:D

don't wear your steelers gear! The Eagles fans are the worse in the league. I have a buddy that has season tix, and at least 2 times per season I get a call to come pick him up, cause he got kicked out for fighting. And most of the time he fights other eagles fans!!!!

Hey what's up with this Steelers mascot. I think he goes by the name "Steeley". The team has been without a mascot all of the years and they come up with "Steeley". Can someone explain that to me.

Man...groan...
they had an online contest to name the mascot,
they chose Steely McBeam, which birthed a slew of online petitions to eradicate the name AND the mascot. At the game Saturday the mascot was announced during halftime and took the field to a barrage of BOOOS, all from Pgh fans!

I though he sh'd rock the name of Joe Magarac, an Iron City John Henry icon from the auld Steel Days. It's a little embarrassing, but I feel worse for this woman, whose name was printed in the paper after she won the competition!

I hate the **** mascot.

Thanks for the explanation. I live here in California and I was even stunned when I saw the mascot. I think I learned about the mascot after watching either "Around The Horn" or "PTI". The poor woman who won the competition might want to leave town especially after the hometown fans BOOOED poor Steely McBeam.
